Money is regarded above anythingTranslating the owner response: "we are willing to waste your time blowing smoke in litigation, and will charge anything possible at a ridiculous upcharge (like 10$ a light bulb +installation)"

I was a tenant for this company in a property in Redmond. In general, they were ok - however my biggest issue was that they switched me to a month to month contract and told me "they have no plans to make me leave the apartment, it's just process". A few months later I got a notice to leave the apartment so I had to find a new place. They didn't break the rules, but that wasn't a great experience.

These guys have really saved my bacon. As an home owner turned single property “landlord” this property manager has really made the process simple while remaining professional. It’s been years now with them and not a one complaint to be had. They respond to the tenants and me quickly when anything comes up. There maintenance guys are great, office ladies polite and speedy. I love that they don’t pressure me to raise the rent or create false issues to increase their profits. I would highly recommend this company to anyone thinking of turning their house into a rental.

I rent through preferred property management and they have been awesome! Every one is very nice and have been great to communicate with. The maintenance team is doing a great job getting repairs done in a timely manner and I appreciate everyone part of this company. They have made transitioning to a new home such a nice experience.

The staff at this establishment were very responsive and communicative right up until we signed our lease. Since then we have put in multiple repair orders and requests with zero response, many of our requests have been deleted from the site requiring us to resubmit with no response. We payed a significant pet deposit and our fense blew down 4 months ago, no response even after emails to the owner. Once our rent checks started auto paying, they checked out.

They will not repair any issues in you apartment, they are extremely difficult to get in contact with and very un personable. I have only been renting from this company for 3 months and I have had nothing but a horrible experience.

This might be the worst company I’ve ever had to rent through. All the reviews you read are right. I’ve rented with them for 5 years and in that time, my original landlord of the building passed away. Ever since they got control of everything, the quality of building has gotten worse, the parking lot/back area is never maintained, they jacked the rent up, and they do just flat out ignore you when you call to get something fixed or have questions. Also, be careful if you sign a lease with them, read every single line word for word as they will stealth edit the lease between terms and not inform that things have changed. They do not respect the renters and will give you attitude and disrespect if you call them about something they don’t want to do. If I could give a zero I would. Worst renting experience of my life. If you see a cheap place advertised by them, avoid it like the plague, it’s not worth saving a bit of money each month to have to deal with these people.

This review is written in response to my experience working with Steve Hale (President of Preferred Property Management). For the record, I waited over 8 months to write this review to allow Steve the opportunity to deliver on his promises but not only did he not deliver, he refuses to even respond to mine or my realtor’s communications. To add some context, Steve was the selling realtor for the home we purchased in June 2022, and our realtor (who was great) unfortunately had to work with Steve to close the deal. We purchased a home that was priced just under a million dollars, and I would expect a certain level of customer service and follow up when closing such a large deal. Steve responded to our realtor up until the closing date, and after that date he completely fell off leaving a lot of unfulfilled promises (that are in our contract). It took Steve two & a half months (77 days to be exact) just to come remove the lockbox from our property after the purchase of our home. When he came over I personally asked him about all the unfulfilled promises he and the seller had made. At which point he smiled, gave me his card and assured me that he was on it and would be in touch … this was literally the last time I heard from him despite my efforts to contact him. His seller is in a breach of contract due to so many unfulfilled promises that were in writing.Steve failed to follow up with us on our home warranty (in the contract). He failed to follow up with our home security credit (in the contract). He also failed to follow up with the promise to repair the granite in the kitchen which is chipped in multiple areas. Again, this is close to a million dollar home! The lack of customer care on Steve’s part is unacceptable. I’ve never worked with a realtor who lacked professionalism as much as Steve does. I highly discourage anyone from dealing with him or his company. I honestly don’t even know how he has a license, he clearly doesn’t care about people or their families. It’s no surprise his company only has one star. If I could give him zero stars I would.

Apparently our security deposit didn't cover all of the damage done to our place. 1500 for an unmowed lawn???(not even an acre), 600 for blinds?? This company is out of its mind.

Save yourself a head ache and stay clear of renting or doing business with this company. Very unprofessional. Takes months to get anything fixed even if at all. They won’t respond to emails so no way to resolve any problems. Expect to owe money when you move out as they will come up with things to charge you for.

I wish I could give a 0 star to these people. This company is toxic to deal with, does not handle or fix anything that breaks in the apartment, even after multiple calls/maintenance requests. It takes 3 weeks just to hear back from anyone. They break MULTIPLE tenant/landlord laws.Lisa the manager is HORRIBLE to deal with. Very rude and unprofessional.I would highly recommend AVOIDING this company at all costs. You will not get your deposit back, you will not be treated with any sort of respect, and they do not care about any sort of tenant laws at all. RUN don’t walk away from this company.

Applied to a place through preferred property management that allowed pets, we talked about having 2 dogs on the phone. Kept up on letting them know we submitted a application and we're interested, they called for income verification, about 5-10 minutes later received a text from them saying rent is being increased and they changed the policy to no pets allowed. Then right after sent a text saying "your application was denied due to pets, let us know if you'd like to apply for another unit." -DIDN'T even ask if they we're emotional support animals or service dogs. Just wasted my time and money i could've use towards another place.*Edit*. Told them i had a letter for emotional support animals, then they tried saying i was denied because of income also, when i have the original messages. Disputing the application fees from my bank as they are a UNRELIABLE, UNTRUSTING and just not a good property management. I've applied to a few places and went through property management companies and NEVER EVER seen such a dirty company.LISTEN TO ALL THE REVIEWS YOU SEE! LIVE IN A MOTEL INSTEAD OF DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.
