Garrett is a true master of his craft. People like him are rare nowadays. He's an incredible artist and craftsman. I got a nice print framed by him a while back. He helped me figure out what the final product could look like and took a good chunk of time working with me, showing many different design options. I'm actually about to take another print to him this week! Looking forward to more great work.

We had 2 senior pictures, a diploma, and a print framed. All 4 of the pieces turned out just beautiful. So happy. The work was done quickly and Garrett was just amazing to work with. STRONGLY RECOMMEND!

It's getting tougher and tougher to find a frame shop you can count on to offer both good work and prices you can afford. It's not that they're all out to rob you, I don't think, it's just a more-expensive business than it used to be. And too many of them rely on prominent locations to get noticed. That real estate comes with (literally) a cost. Enter Garrett's Framing Studio. They're in a small strip mall set back not just from a main road but from a side street, too. They have a big suite with plenty of space, and they do a ton of work in-house. I found this out after realizing I not only had a backlog of stuff I've been wanting to frame, but would actually have a little wall space again after giving a few things away. I contacted a few places to see about prices and services, and none of them really got back that quickly (Garrett's included). These guys ended up being my first phone call after all my emails went nowhere, and he quickly walked me through a few ways to finish my projects for less money than I might have thought. Instant interest. I ended up framing a couple things myself with store-bought kits, and put all my focus on a nice piece that's been rolled up for a couple years, waiting for attention. Garrett was behind the counter when I brought it in. He had already juggled emails and phone calls from me as well as an email from my sister about buying me a gift certificate to put toward the project.He walked us through all the matte and frame options, with tons of creative input and advice on criteria to use while deciding. But it was all very low-key, and he never acted like he was the only person in the room who knew anything about framing. He even noticed that the piece was signed, without having to have that pointed out, and adjusted the matte size accordingly. We picked something in under 10 minutes, and he offered advice on the most cost-effective glass for the piece. The price is still a little higher than an old geezer like me is used to, but that's geezer life for ya. He ended up being super-responsive on email once the project was underway, and proactive, too--always thoughtful with communication. I picked up my piece a couple weeks later, as promised, and it's hanging now just across from the desk in my office. I couldn't be happier. I've always liked having framed stuff around the house, to the point where now I have all the stuff I can handle. It's awesome to be able to add one more. And now I have a go-to frame shop as well...just in case I buy a bigger house or something.

Based on his many good reviews, I went to Garrett to have an illustration (with great sentimental value) framed. He showed incredible attention to detail and handled the artwork with care. He helped me to choose the best combination of mat and frame for the artwork, executed the custom framing perfectly, and even carefully packaged the finished piece for cross-country shipping. Garrett went above and beyond every step of the way.

We were impressed with Garrett’s attention to detail. He asked great questions to get an idea of what the final product should look like, then with a keen eye made extremely helpful suggestions and recommendations. The final product was exceptional, and because it was a gift for a birthday, he took extra care to make sure that it was ready in time (he’s usually a few weeks out for his orders). Like the right setting for a precious stone, the right matting and framing make all the difference for work that will be treasured for years and decades. Highly recommend Garrett’s Framing Studio - he does excellent, affordable work. Pro-tip: Garrett’s shop is also conveniently located close to Katya’s Bakery for a tasty post-visit treat.

Let me just start out with this: Everett, and the greater area is extremely lucky to have someone like Garrett in the neighborhood. He is so overqualified and experienced, he could easily be anywhere, and we're lucky enough to have him here. Additionally, you cannot beat Garrett's prices.When you get something framed by Garrett, not only are you going to get the best high quality frame, you're going to get an art lesson on what colors, textures, and sizes will make your piece look its best. You can go into his studio thinking you know what you want, but I definitely recommend going in with an open mind. Garrett has a keen artistic eye on how to best display your art, in respect to color, location in your house, lighting, and frame/matte size.You will only get the most professional and high quality experience from Garrett's Framing Studio. He's had decades of experience and has framed priceless works by Salvador Dali and other famous artists for the Art Institute of Chicago. This is not a "U-Frame It" or a Michael's craft store. Garrett is extremely humble and kind, but know you are getting top tier service and world-class quality.
