Fleetbody works accepted a claim from my insurance and was paid for the invoice. They left my car unfinished and I was told I need to go elsewhere to get my window tented. They were paid for the job and left it unfinished.

I went here by recommendation of a friend. First of all Dennis didn't speak a word to me in the evaluation/estimate process (not even hello), and was very stand-offish when I had questions about it. It was really weird and uncomfortable. But not a big deal in the grand scheme of things and water under the bridge at the time. The real s*** show is ahead. I first drop my car off 3 weeks after getting my estimate on the scheduled day of repair. I get picked up from my rental company, go sign a contract for a rental car and I'm on my way. 10 minutes after signing this rental agreement, the shop calls me and says I should pick up my car because they *just* ordered the parts and they're 7-10 days away. So I have to drive back to my rental company, kill the contract that I just made within the hour, and have them drive me back to the shop to pick up my car. Overall waste of an hour or two when I should've been at work making money, not dealing with this clown show. Also incredibly annoying considering they had made the estimate and we scheduled for the repair 3 weeks out, and it never crossed their mind to order the parts till I showed up on the day of repair with the car. So, in 10 days I drop off the car after hours. They take pictures and sent them to my insurance company to get a quote, then proceed to start repairing my car without my authorization or a quote from my insurance company to agree on an amount. 4 days after that, I get an email from my insurance company with their quote for repair and tell me to authorize repair on my vehicle. There was a $1500 difference between what the shop quoted and what my insurance quoted. And when I called to let the shop know and potentially authorize repairs, they were already done with the repair and only needed to be polished which could possibly be done by the end of the day. I wasn't aware of what would come next so I didn't see it as anything but me getting my car back sooner. I called at the end of that day(Friday), wasn't done yet and should be polished by the end of the next business day. The weekend goes by, I call on Monday afternoon to check how things are going and they tell me that they just finished painting and were putting it back together. Weird, I thought it only needed a polish. I call today (Tuesday) and they tell me that my car is finished but they refuse to give me my car back until my insurance company agrees to their quoted amount ($1500 over insurance's quote) and that my only options are to wait till it's been resolved or pick up the bill for the difference myself. These people are hacks and as shady as they come. They can't be courteous, they can't plan out a repair within a reasonable time frame, they won't call to give updates on your vehicle, and then they'll start repairing your vehicle without authorization or an agreement with your insurance provider for the billing and refuse to return your vehicle until they do their job. They're not a shop to be trusted, plain and simple. So now I have the pleasure of contacting the attorney general for the state and hire a lawyer to a possessory lean so I can get my car back and not play into their d*** power trip. Luckily there's laws to prevent b******* like this, unfortunately there is still jokers out there like this that like to test that fact.

Wasted my time and money.. Called and asked if an estimate would be free, was told that all estimates were free, once I drove in and ask for help with an estimate, I was then told that he'd only do it for 50 dollars with a very rude attitude.

overspray and half assed moulding work is what I've seen out of here. I'll take vehicles to maaco or earl shive before taking anything here again.
