Just want to shout out to Michelle and Katie for working together to get my husband and I into a much needed vehicle so I could safely transport my children and I where we need to go. We walked in with nothing to put down, due to sinking so much money (and time) trying to salvage the van I’ve had over the past 6 years. Words can’t express the gratitude I feel for them being able to help us in our time of need, even with bad credit and no down. Thank you Excellent Choice Autos!!

Run of the mill shady practices from a small car lot. This review is for the Everett location on HWY 99 across from BECU. The salesmen were very kind and accommodating, earning them 2 instead of 1 star. Know what you’re buying. These are almost all auction cars. Inspect them thoroughly and get your own vehicle history report. Whether high mileage, or accident damage, there is a reason why a big dealership wouldn’t sell these cars on their lot, find out why before buying. The financing/sales paperwork guys are shady! Watch out! I was pre-approved through my bank and they still tried to slip in the loan application form with my purchase paperwork. They get paid for bringing applicants to finance companies and will try to get you to sign the application without you noticing. DON’T SIGN IT! It gives the credit agencies free rein to pull your credit score over and over again. When I went to pick up my license plates I was told I needed to pay $50 for underestimated license/title fees. Imagine that? Exactly $50, not a penny more or less. More shady practices.
Overall, they’re just like any small car lot. Greedy and underhanded. I strongly recommend you seek financing elsewhere. Inspect the car you want to buy thoroughly and watch out for their shady finance guys sneaking in a loan application while you are signing purchase paperwork. This review is for the Everett location. I’ve lived in WA 43 years, I know the difference between Everett and Marysville.

Bought my first minivan here today, the prosses went smooth, with a trade-in and everything, no issues. Even got some homemade cookies as soon as I came in, lol

Best decision to purchase my car at Excellent Choice. Staff are very friendly and nice. Alberto Rodriguez gave an excellent service and we will definitely go back for future purchases. The entire staff treated us like family and we love how honest they are with the process. Thanks as well to Roberto Gonzales who has helped a lot in the entire process. You guys are amazing and thank you for giving me an excellent service I will never forget. Will definitely refer you to my family and friends. You are all awesome!

My 19 year old daughter and I stopped by this location (Everett) to see what cars they had available. This is her 1st car and she was nervous & excited. Prior to this she was preapproved for a car loan through her credit union (cu), which makes things much easier because this way you only need to get a purchase order (po) for the vehicle and let your cu deal with the rest. She found a car she was wanted & we told the salesman she is pre-approved, all she needs is a signed PO for her CU. He asked her to complete an application. I stepped in and said she doesn’t need to complete one, she is already preapproved. I said this to him multiple times, yet he pursued having her complete one stating this is how her CU, which they claim to work directly with, has them do things. I told him this didn’t make sense, there’s no reason for her to complete an app. He again said this is what the credit union has us do. I still felt unsure about this place but my daughter was so excited and in love with the vehicle she wanted so I backed off a bit. My daughter then asked him if he was going to pull a credit report, explaining she didn’t want him to because it would affect her credit score and she already has an approval. He told her no, it wouldn’t, he just needs to enter the information for the CU so they can review her purchase. I was in banking for many years and I didn’t feel good about this. There was no reason he needed any of her personal information if she’s preapproved elsewhere. She should’ve only needed a PO from them. He persisted, she completed the not so “Excellent Choice” app and when it came time to sign it she looked at me just before and I explained the statement above her signature gives him the right to pull her credit. She looked unsure and he then again said, “ I’m just entering the information the CU asks for (yes, when you need to complete an application!). Bottom line, this guy created a whole new application, knowing she was already approved, so that he gets whatever credit he does by doing so. By doing this he affected her credit score by having a new credit report pulled! HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING!! He consistently worded things in a way that would be confusing but would reassure her that what he was doing was necessary. Because he submitted a new application the CU did not use the original application; and based on the figures and other info he put in they weren’t able to approve the loan. Just before this my daughter and I had stepped outside, called the CU with the VIN # & learned that it DID fall within the financing and everything should go smooth. Because of this confusion we had to walk away with a signed purchase order, WHAT WE WANTED FROM THE TIME WE WALKED IN!! When we called the CU later they confirmed he created a whole new application! There was NO REASON for this other than greed! This salesman was an older gentleman who’s been doing this for years. I will not buy that he didn’t know what he was doing. He was taking advantage of my daughter and putting me in an awkward situation. I was saying no and he was saying it’s fine. I could see my daughter was conflicted but also really wanted the car and decided to trust him. I’ve been out of banking for many years now and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I wish I hadn’t. I wish I’d just said no and walked right out of there! Her experience confirmed car salesman are just as much a snake today as they were years ago when I was looking. Shame on this not so “Excellent” dealership! I’ve seen positive reviews of this place, people staying how great they are at getting people in the vehicles they want. My question is, at what cost? How much over the book value do you owe, what high interest rate are you paying & more? Places like this don’t give you a good deal or make it easy to make your day, they do it to put more money in their pockets. The last thing they do is care about you getting what you want. If this older gentleman can take advantage of my 19 year old daughter, there’s no limit to what they will do. Shame on you!
