I would give Conaway Motors 10 stars, (maybe a red giant or a globular cluster!). I have been coming to them exclusively since I found them a decade ago for my old 356 Porsche, and now my succession of Land Rovers. Go here. Living on Whidbey Island, we have very limited options for good mechanics. A friend recommended Conaway Motors to me, and they have been our shop of choice ever since. Recently, they replaced the transmission in my 1992 vehicle, which they have kept running smoothly well past its prime years. The initial replacement transmission had an issue, and the Conaway team took my car back in and rebuilt the transmission to make it right. This was especially impressive since they are not a transmission shop. Their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction has earned my trust and loyalty.

I had brake troubles with my 2007 S550, after dropping it off, they left me with a good feeling of security, they were nearly HALF of the cost of the dealer AND they used OEM parts AND they had it done when they said it would be. Highly professional and NOT at all haughty like so many high end repair shops! They did excellent work. The ONLY thing that seemed out of place was when the tech first called me to talk about the repair, he had said that the brakes "Looked fine" that tells me that IF a repair is not warranted, they will tell you so, and you just don't get that kind of integrity anymore. I am HAPPY to give my recommendation to Conaway Motors ANYTIME! Thank you, gentlemen, for a timely repair done as you stated without any financial surprises.

If I could give them lower than a 1, I would. Took my BMW to them to replace the headlight and fix an oil leak. Was quoted $3,000 to replace the headlight assembly and $3,300 for the oil leak. Leak was due to a gasket that had to be replaced. The headlight needed an entire assembly and not just a bulb. I took my car to another repair place that changed the gasket for a total of $1250. They also told me that I could look on ebay to get a headlight assembly for a lot less and they'd be happy to install it for $300. Conaway has always over-charged for their services and I'm glad that I've found another reputable repair place that does great work for more reasonable prices. They also have great customer service.
