Unfortunately have to rate this negatively due to the rudeness I encountered when trying to book this for our upcoming wedding. The caretakers that manage the property are amazing! This review is not a reflection on them. We’re looking at a 2024 date, and we had found this place by word of mouth. Rates “were” very reasonable for for what it was - a blank slate. On our drive home, I was getting everything in order to put down the deposit when my sister called and asked if I really wanted to book it for that price point. And I had told her that yes, it was in budget. I did anticipate that rates would be slightly higher due to it going into 2024, but I didn’t anticipate a 225% increase of $3,750.00. Pushing the total (with the deposit) over $7,500.00. So just to make sure everything was actually supposed to be that, I called. And the “bookkeeper” immediately had an attitude - not necessarily how I would act if someone were about to hand me thousands of dollars. So I asked if they were adding anything to reflect the price increase. She promptly - in a not so nice tone - says “Nope. You get 98 acres. Now we’re competitive with the other venues”. … Which, they’re not. If you want the canvas covers put on the patio, it’s (could be more now) $500.00. If you want to rent their chairs for the ceremony, it’s $1.00 a chair. Other venues at that price point provide chairs, wiring for the vendors, and an entire slew of amenities. At a price point of $6,750.00 (Not including a $1,000.00 deposit) for a wedding in October, you should really be trying to make some improvements to what you are offering. Also, on their new “2024 rate sheet” it’s dated at the bottom “updated 9/24/22” which is ABSOLUTELY not that case. It was updated the morning of our tour. I have notes that were on the old rate sheet from 2023 to prove it because information like when the payments are due and some extra notes were not included in the new one. Transparency is one of the best things you can offer your potential customers, and I’m very disappointed that they are unable to be that. My advice, if money is no object and you want to bring in EVERYTHING as if you were having a back yard wedding and to do everything yourself, by all means, go for it.

My family has been going here since 1972 attending the originalMemorial Day Campout with Bob Morris founder and visionary of the design and work done over the 50 years of this now Labor Day campout/party. Owned by his family and named by his mother the first time she drove down to see the property. "It's Shangri-la"

Beautiful venue! A (permanent) sound system would be helpful near the waterfall. Couldn't hear a thing over the water. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars.

Shangri La on the Green was literally the PERFECT venue. We are both from the PNW but currently live in CO, and we both knew we wanted to get married somewhere with the PNW forest feel. Shangri La on the Green was exactly what we wanted. It hit all our hopes for a venue perfectly- We couldn't have found anywhere better. Beautiful scenery - We got married in front of a literal waterfall- with a lovely wild forest feel, but balanced perfectly with well groomed, landscaped, and maintained areas. Having the option for people to camp was perfect for us, as well as our friends and family, and the lodge was perfect for setting up our buffet and bar in. Dance floor was the perfect size for our 100 person guest list, with easy ways to hang lights and decor. Bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of them- much better than your typical camping bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked, and it was nice to have access to firewood for a fire pit. Chair rentals on site were much more affordable than from a typical rental company, and more than enough tables provided, and more than enough electrical outlets even though it was outdoors. The only slight downside was the lack of phone service, which made it hard when people had a hard time finding it (I didn't personally think it was hard to find), but I honestly loved being able to disconnect from my phone for the weekend. Only other thing that we had to figure out with this venue was getting ready areas- We used canopies and tapestries to "build" our getting ready rooms, and it worked great!The caretakers Rachelle and her husband Jason were extremely helpful and friendly, and patient with all my texts full of questions leading up to the wedding. We hadn't seen the venue before our wedding, since we're out of state, and it honestly lived up to everything we hoped it would be and more!

Attending my best friend's wedding here and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences. The accommodations are great and rustic, bathrooms above and below the lodge cabin for guest. There is plenty of storage and space for refreshments including a deep freezer and a full kitchen with a wood burning stove. We decked the halls with lights, decor and all things wedding for a truly memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this venue in nature... fun trails down along the creek/green river.

Beautiful setting. Perfect waterfall for backdrop. Plenty of space for mingling dancing and eating. Also often overlooked... plenty of restrooms and parking. Another great wedding with minister jeff! Worth the drive.

Great venue for any wedding, family reunion, or corporate event. I've held many functions at Shangri-La and it's spectacular. I highly recommend it!
