The Ellensburg Goodwill is a thrift store where many customers find items to stock their homes, often describing their finds as "must buy" goodies. Reviews frequently mention the very polite, friendly, respectful, courteous, and helpful staff. Shoppers report having great service and describe the employees as super friendly. The store offers a variety of items, with some customers noting that some prices have gotten a bit better. A return policy is in place where items with tags and a receipt can be returned for a gift card. However, there are mixed opinions on value. Some feel other thrift stores have nicer, cleaner items with lower prices. Specific and repeated criticism is directed at the jewelry jars, which are described as sometimes containing broken jewelry or beads at prices deemed ludicrous and unfair, with allegations of inconsistent quality due to internal issues. The store has also seen changes, like the permanent closure of fitting rooms, which some customers find unfortunate. Despite these criticisms, many shoppers love the staff and management and call it their favorite place to shop in Ellensburg.
