“I want to start by saying that I lived at The Verge for over 5 years. I had moved here in May of 2020 and lived here until the end of August of 2025. So I've seen the property change over time, had many roommates, seen the ups and downs, lived in 4 different apartments at The Verge. Overall it is a good place to live for students and those looking to save some money.
Yes, this place is advertised as student housing but you don't have to be a student to live here as it is not affiliated with CWU. I was a student when I first moved in but I had graduated in June of 2023 and continued to live there. Pets are allowed which is awesome and you have in unit laundry and utilities are generally included (the lease can change year to year and one year electricity was a flat rate and you had to pay for any overages but recently it was all just one flat utility charge so it can change.)
The maintenance staff are awesome. The property manager, Kathan, is great and understanding. The Verge is a good place to live if you're just starting out.
The downside? If you don't specifically have people you know and trust lined up as roommates you are at risk of being placed with people you don't get along with or just can't function with. When I was a student it wasn't so bad but after graduating it became more and more difficult having roommates that were at a different stage in life and complete strangers living with me. A 25 year old working an 8-5 being roommates with two 20 year olds in college who want to have friends over at all hours of the night and don't respect your personal property in the common area can get a little bit tense.
So bottom line, try to have roommates you know and trust. Total strangers who are younger than you is stressful. But this place is great as a starter apartment.”
“Lived here 20 + years. Never had any kind of trouble around here. Everyone works here are nice and professional. One of the best things done this summer, is they finally went with dumpster pick up from the garbage company. Hardly anymore trash around the outside of the dumpsters anymore. .”
“I lived at College Park for nearly two years. Aside from the apartment being a little outdated, it is a wonderful place to live. Close to campus, a small grocery store, and Wing Central. The complex is very quiet and the neighbors are great. The landlord is a super nice guy and the maintenance crew is always making sure everything is in the best possible shape. Definitely would recommend living here!”
