November 2023 by Megan Phillips-Mace
I am absolutely livid. I had a mammogram last Friday at the Mill Creek location. Today, Tuesday, a scheduler from this location called me and told me that I needed to come in for an additonal scan and ultrasound because something was found in my Friday scans. When I asked her what, she was unable to tell me, and said she was only a scheduler and I needed to talk to my doctor. My doctor's office is small and I might not get a phone call from them about my original scans until the end of the week. I was told that the soonest I can get in is early February; it is currently early November. My mother died in July from breast cancer, and I informed the caller of this; and simultaneously started to cry. I was then spoken over, read off phone numbers almost faster than I could write them down for other locations where I was told I could try to schedule something sooner (I can NOT do this without speaking to my doctor first, so really great job, honey), and treated very callously. Do not expect any sort of compassion from the scheduling staff at this location. If it wasn't close to home and my doctor wasn't going to refer me here anyway, I would likely not choose to use this location for anything ever again. I am still waiting for my doctor to call and have spent my day absolutely terrified and unable to focus on my job. I am 52 years old. Shame on you.
