I love this store...it offers the perfect respite to enjoy me-time purchases and Girls'-day Outs* ... including large/small pieces of furniture, fashionable pillows, appealing artwork, dinnerware, kitchen gadgets, and delightful foodstuffs...all Very fun and satisfying, and purchases are carefully wrapped in tissue paper and placed in nifty, reusable gift bags.* Girls-day-outs in Edmonds are perfect:Glorious views of the Olympics, a walkable beachfront and pier, and access to the ferry system (boating on the water is fun, don't get off just do a round trip!) and many restaurants n shops (including "globe- trotter" Rick Steves'! and Cascadia Museum)

I have purchased home products and furniture from Robert, LoMae, and Sherri for many years. I love to work with them-they are honest, ethical, and have excellent follow-through. Even though I have moved to eastern Washington, I continue to work with them. They are always helpful and kind.

The man (not sure if he's the owner or one of the assistants) there made us leave the store while shopping and we were there for 10 minutes and about to pick up a dining table. Their excuse was that there were two people waiting outside. So?! We came first and had waited longer before we got in. They certainly werent interested in selling to us.

Apparently known for racism. Made Asian customers leave the store to allow others in who were waiting outside.. even though the Asian customers had waited in line to get in in the first place and had only been in the store for 10 minutes (about to pick up a table).

House Wares has quickly become my favorite shop since moving to Edmonds, there are so many cool things to browse through and I have only ever had great interactions with the staff. It is my go to for gifts, I usually have no idea what I want to get until I walk through the store a bit and will end up with a haul that is always a splash with whoever I give it to. I will warn you that the store is awfully dangerous if you are only shopping for someone else, I have a hard time not buying stuff for myself when I visit. The staff and owner are also very helpful with sharing what other shops may have an item that you can't find in House Wares and I really appreciate the customer focus they have in each interaction.
