I found GWU years ago when my boys were 1 & 3. We had been at a In-home care facility and my 3 year old was in need of a change of pace and peers his age. I toured several places but was impressed with the teachers and director at GWU. Crazy to look back but we have now been there for 5 years. There communication has always been great. As a parent getting pictures throughout the day of your kiddo having fun, doing activities, and making friends is so reassuring. They send out Holiday schedules early so as a parent you can plan. We navigated covid here and always felt that they had families top of mind. The staff loves kids and puts together age appropriate activities for the different classrooms. The Holiday art pieces are the best. My Mothers day art is always the sweetest. As my boys entered into school age they were able to do before and after school care here. They have spent their summers here too and have had fun going to parks, swimming, flying Squirrel, and other activities.I can't say enough good things about this place. I have referred many friends here.

The staff are caring and have always welcomed my daughter by name when arriving and leaving. She has grown so much over the last 4 years while being at GWU and I’m so grateful we found them when we did! The communication is great and I always feel like I know how my daughter is doing. Everyone (especially Lisa and Cassie) has listened to anything I’ve said or asked and really helped individualize the support needed for our daughter. I can’t say enough positive things about GWU :) We are sad to be leaving once our daughter starts kindergarten this year, but we know bc of GWU that she is ready and well prepared for Kindergarten. :)

My daughter was there from 1,5 to 3 years old and I can’t find the words to say how much I love it there. Sherrie, the director, is a fantastic human being and really passionate about teaching kids. The whole staff is really caring, kind and respectful. They really made a mark on our lives.

I worked here for 27 years. The pay they are offering now is good compared to other jobs in the area. You could join their team and make a difference in the life of a child.

I have been so impressed with their handling of Covid19, and the genuine care my 3y/o has received. Sherrie really had a pulse on developmental and fundamental needs. I am grateful for our extended family here!!

Let me start by saying the teachers and directors are amazing! They are so loving and caring. My kids also have lifetime friends because of the center, which I'm grateful for. However, I do not agree with certain policies and how they handle certain situations. I sadly had to withdraw my 5 and 2 year old. I would not recommend for young children, not enough supervision, patience and teaching. They are still learning and the school is not set up to handle that developmental age. They also do not do kindergarten prep, which is a shame.

My girls have been with Grow with us for 2 years now and they love it. The staff is great, and communicate with me, which is huge. My oldest loves her teacher miss aunty, she's great! She adores my girls and its nice to chat and get laughs together when she tells me about their day. All around a safe trustworthy center to bring your children.

We love Grow with Us on 196th! The teachers and staff are always organized, kind and caring. My 6 year old son has been attending for over 2 years now, first for Pre-K and then for the summer program and after school care. ALL of his teachers have been wonderful and supportive and are loved by my son and family. The staff is almost all of the same people working there as when we first started. The teachers always communicate about how my son's day was and if there are ever any concerns. It has been obvious to me from the beginning that these ladies truly care about the children in their care.

I have girls in the school age room. I love this center, Xanthie and Josephine are excellent teachers, my girls love them. One of my kids can be a little challenging and these two have gotten down to her and relate to her l, making her secure and comfortable. This has helped immensely with her behaviors. I am very pleased with the center and how the teachers relate to the kids, keep up the good work!

TERRIBLE! I only had my son in this daycare for 3 days before I pulled him out. His morning teacher was rude, she never said good mornig, never smiled, and always sat down not giving my son or any other kid the attention and care they needed. Her hygiene was quite distracting as well. He would come home with feces still on him because they did a terrible job at changing his diaper. Same thing when I would pick him up. The teachers are NEVER active with the kids. Ive only ever seen them sitting. I wish this daycare had a no star option.

Our son has been at Grow with us since the day after he turned 1, and he is now 4. We have had nothing but amazing experiences since. Our son has thrived under the care he receives at the 196th St. Grow With Us and he adores the teachers and staff. We too adore his teachers and especially the director, Maureen.

Have had my children going to the 196th Center periodically for the past 7 years and have always had a great experience with the staff and management. They've always had a great curriculum set up for my daughters. I owe it to Grow With Us on 196th for their dedication to my children and would recommend them to anyone seeking childcare needs. Again thank you.

Today while picking up my kids at CPE, a little girl was scared and confused who was her ride do to it being a half day. Instead of the driver trying to comfort her, get help or even let her know it was okay. She stands there arms crossed, smirking and laughing at this little girl that was in 1st grade at MOST. Finally a teacher asks what's wrong trying to comfort the little girl, and this women in charge or driving these kids is still standing there arms crossed trying to justify that this little girl was just trying to be a pain well laughing.. I wish I knew who the parents were to let them know how disgusting this adult women was towards this little girl, she mine as well been sticking her tounge out, calling her names and making faces like the other bullies at the school.FYI MY son did attend your child care over 3 years ago, we switched due difference in opinion on how to deal with certain situations. Thanks Erika Jay Carlston

I had my son there from the time he was a year old all the way up until he was 12 years old. He had a wonderful time there and made a lot of friends, and with his special needs, they did a great job in making him feel included in every activity he was involved and every field trip he went on!

This place sets an example for all day cares. It is managed by friendly and professional staff. The facility is clean and all the toys and equipment is well organized. Leaving my kid behind during the day is painful, but it feels good she is the right hands.
