Dr Chris is amazing. I had 3 puppies and an adult dog. Several issues with the babies and he was always there for us. I feel like he views us as his partner in the health and wellness process. Thank you for working through the craziness with 4 French bulldogs!

Hard to get an appointment, and I feel Dr Chris is too aggressive when it comes to dental surgery. I took my 11-month old dog in for a dental exam, and when I came to pick my dog up I was told that Dr Chris pulled 32 of his teeth without really explaining to me that he was going to do this (I never would have agreed to it). So now, after a $4000 bill, my 11-month old dog basically has no teeth.

I am over the moon!!!After 10 years at a vet that never seemed to prioritize my 14 year old dogs wellbeing I have finally found the dream vet! From the personalized welcome when we walked in, to the in-depth intake from Jen, to the hour of ACTUALLY HELPFUL information from Dr. Chris I am just blown away!I have spent less time speaking with the vet in the last 10 year’s combined than I did today. He was funny, science based, and only cared about my pups quality of life. All of the stars to this amazing team!!!

Best vet around. We tried a couple of other vets before switching to 5th Ave when they opened up. We've taken our dog and cat there ever since and Dr Chris and his staff feel like family. They have been able to accommodate us on short notice. If they are busy with another patient they respond promptly to emails and voicemails. Always fact based suggestions on care and never over treating/charging.

We love Dr. Chris! I've been bringing my two cats here for the past couple years. One of my boys has had chronic health issues with URIs, IBD, and gum disease - but it's all been managed beautifully since we started coming to Fifth Avenue and my little guy is the healthiest (and happiest) he's ever been. I'm truly grateful for the level of care and the improved quality of life Dr. Chris has given us.

Dr. Chris and his assistant Jen are absolutely amazing! They are both so caring and compassionate! Their love for animals is sincere and my husband and I could feel their empathy when it was time to send our sweet boy Nate to heaven. Nate was in pain and Dr. Chris opened an appt up for me immediately. Jen sat down with me previously and talked me through the next steps and the different options for Nate. They helped us get through such a difficult time and we will be forever grateful. We've been taking our pets (cats and dog) to Fifth Avenue Animal Hospital for years now and we have been very happy. Dr. Garg really knows his stuff. It's been tough during the pandemic and he's been short staffed since Jill left, but he still finds the time to be there for whatever is needed, and the office is still very punctual about checkup reminders and quick to respond to emails. I especially appreciate how great Dr. Garg was when the time came to put down my beloved 15 + year old Australian Shepherd. He was quick to respond to my call and kind but realistic with me when I called for his advice, plus made a referral to a vet who came directly to our home, so that it all happened peacefully in our living room.

Absolutely horrific treatment of animals behind the scenes, and he speaks badly about clients behind their backs at any opportunity. Unsafely practices with bare bones staff and is aggressive with medical recommendations. I strongly urge you to find ANY other veterinarian out there.
