We have lived in Edmonds for 37 years and have never needed jewelry repair of any kind. A few week back, my wife decided to get a prong fixed on her wedding ring which is forty years old ( this year ). She had driven by Elegant Gems several times and decided to stop in for an estimate. When she came home, she told me about this little shop on 5th with this really nice fellow that KNOWS ALOT about gems and such. He did give her an estimate of the repair and explained the issues clearly. I then decided to up the anty and surprise her with a bigger diamond, so I snuck down and met with Brent. He showed me three different options and clearly explained the different grades, handing out a very gentle re-education to loose stones. I decided on one and the ring turned out just stellar and best of all, my wife went all nuts.This was perfect on so many levels and Brent's simply the best.

Came here to get my watch battery replaced. Called ahead to ensure walk-in was ok and it was. Unfortunately the battery replacement took way longer than anticipated, but I wasn't in a hurry so it didn't bother me. The person who did the work (assuming to be the owner) knows his stuff! Appreciated the attentiveness of the work to be done. Also, even if the complication of the battery getting stuck I wasn't charged for the service even after I offered and would have even given him a tip!! I plan on returning (with a different watch) whenever I need replacements! Highly recommend. Also the jewelry shop is quaint and seems to have unique pieces.

Wonderful shop for small presents for friends. Inexpensive watch battery replacement. I look forward to having a Jewellery pace fabricated.

I have a stunning 8-diamond ring ( 2 rows of four diamonds) in a lovely white gold setting that Dad bought for Mom about 45 years ago. He never bought anything but genuine and the paperwork said it was 1.3 total carats and the price was over $1,500. I inherited it when Mom died. Getting old myself now, and having no daughters to bequeath it to, I decided I would sell it and do something satisfying and nice for myself. It's the last piece of valuable jewelry I inherited from her. A friend told me about Bret Malgarin & Elegant Gems in Edmonds. I took it there. He spent time inspecting the ring, then looked me in the eyes and told me: "I can give you $75 for it". Shocked, I left the store and then sadness set in, and then , anger. He may have a pretty store, great location, and some nice things to look at but beware if you want to be treated fairly.

This is a lovely shop full of enticing jewelry. The owner is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with, and there are items for every budget. It's worth a visit if you are shopping for a special gift.
