Aviator just fixed up my Mesa/Boogie Mark IV. Only took a couple weeks and the price was reasonable. The tech (Morris) called me to review the work needed in detail before he began it, and he was friendly as well as incredibly knowledgeable. He also wrote detailed notes on the invoice so I have a record of what was done. Highly recommend Aviator Audio to anyone with a tube amp that they give a damn about.

Chatted with Morris on the phone, and gave me a quick consultation after describing the issue I was seeing. Gave me a few things to check for, and based on the issue, said that it might be more money than it's worth to open it up and diagnose instead of getting a new bass amp. I appreciate the free diagnosis before dumping a bunch of money into something unnecessarily Thanks Morris!

These guys are the best amp/pedal repair guys and I have been all over the world. They have fixed my 50's 60's twin reverbs and made them sound warm and amazing. My pedals? no problem....these guys are the bomb!

It came in with yet another complicated amplifier. Somebody else had worked on it, they had done some pretty bad stuff once it was opened and looked at. I got a phone call and they showed me exactly what had been done and got my permission to move forward. Everything was done as if it was brand new. Everything works better than it ever has. And compared to everybody else lower prices for far better work.

Rick at Aviator Audio saved my audiophile tube amp. I have a VAC auricle mk. II tube amplifier that I love. This amp is based on the Marantz 8B and Marantz asked VAC to design this one for their anniversary unit. One of the screen resistors on the tube socket was not working and I over biased the tube. The tube blew, took out a bit of the circuit board as well as the tube bias switch. I didn't want to send this all the way to Sarasota FL to get repaired from VAC which would have cost an arm and a leg. Rick was not only able to get the job done (went through their schematics), he got better parts, gave me solid advice as to the bias settings for my tubes, and repaired this within 2 weeks as I upgraded to their rush rate. Well worth it as my amp is performing like new or better. For a tube audiophile, this is a lifesaver! They really really know what they are doing,

Have been taking amps to Rick since 2005. He's done repairs for me and members of my band. He is a total pro, does quality work and will consult with you to suggest ideas based on what you need, what sound you're looking to get out of your amp, etc. Whether it it is a repair or modification to an amp, highly recommend Rick and Aviator Audio. His work is worth every penny to know it has been done right. The amp will be reliable to gig with. His shop did a bassman for me in 2005 and it had been all over the western United States for hundreds of gigs and jams. It has been a rock solid amp and so far not even a tube needs replacement. He uses quality parts. The Fender deluxe he just upgraded for me actually sounds like a Deluxe should now. The reverb is strong, present, and the amp had much less noise than new from the factory. He made some improvements for long term reliability. Can't thank Rick enough. Highly recommend Aviator!

I work for a musical instrument retailer, and we use Aviator for all of our third-party repairs (mostly guitar amp). All I can say is that Aviator is great.

Brought Morris a triple rectifier that needed a ton of work and cleaning. Charged me about half of what I expected. Found creative workarounds for things he could have charged me for, called me several times, very patiently explaining the details, to let me make decisions on how to handle various things when he could have just added them to my bill. Offered to have him charge me a dollar extra to round up the bill to avoid a bunch of change since I paid in cash and he rounded it down instead. Tested my amp for two hours to make sure it was good but only charged me for the bench time. Truly great people at this place!!

Great place to repair your amps. It's a little pricey, but they are very good.

Took a rare tube amp into more than one shop and it did not come back in good shape. I took it here to Aviator and it came back better than new! There is definite Artistry in the work done in the shop. I will never take my equipment to any place else again. Ask for Rick he is truly a master of his trade and a very honest and hardworking person. He called me and communicated all the problems and okayed them with me and at first I was hesitant but what I picked up my amplifier I was in amazement after work done and the quality of the work done. I can't recommend them enough!

A number of years ago I brought an amp into Aviator, it was a Boogie Subway Rocket with really scratchy pots. I expected the cost to be more than the amp cost me, but was pleasantly surprised. So, now I've got a Marshall JTM 30 with multiple issues and I checked yelp to see if Aviator is still on their game...oh yeah! Still doing it right, so I'll be bringing in the JTM soon.
