When in the area, I always shop for fresh veggies: long green beans, bitter melon, various choys, bean sprouts, pea pods, chili peppers.
I also like shopping for sauces like oyster, black bean, sweet Sour, fish, etc. Also dried mushrooms, wood ears, rice, and coconut cookies.
I buy hum bau, bbq and roast pork, sometimes deli buffet food.

Prices are rediculously high for all items. Don't the local have a better choice to shop.

HORRIBLE LIVE CRAB! Thought we'd have something special for Father's Day. Bought 2 of the biggest Dungeness Crabs they had at noon on Thursday. They offered to steam for me and I said yes. The price was $48.00 for 2 crabs. When I got home I proceeded to tear off the back shells, get rid of the gills and wash them. The meat appeared to be a little translucent, but it didn't matter because I was going to serve them steamed and hot today. Friday night I pulled them out of the fridge to change the paper towel in the bottom of the Tupperware and it was black. One of the crabs had literally turned black throughout the body meat area and the joints on the legs were also black. Yesterday I checked on them and now the second crab had started turning black. Omg... see the pictures I just took after picking the crab! Do your self a favor and don't have them cook for you! Turning black was caused by either undercooking them, or not at a high enough temperature. So much money down the drain, and so much wasted time! The meat is fine, but who wants to eat black crab meat?? I'm not new to crab either, I've been catching it, cooking it and cleaning it for over 50 years. I love crab, but not black crab!!

The coral shrimps costing $30/pound were half dead. They didn’t even jump when they were brought to them. They didn’t let the dead ones be picked away. I was speechless and complaining was useless. You really need to manage the people in the seafood department. I’ve been shopping at 99 Dahua all year round and I’m really disappointed.

Gone downhill since C19. Never seemed to recover all their merchandise back. Some shelves look barren, others don't have pricing. Parking still is a bear.
