My sister and I had a very frustrating experience with this office & completely rude & unprofessional treatment by Lynn. My sister has a fairly simple tax form to fill out, however, it does include rental income and property taxes from our family home which I run as a rental business, per the agreement btw the 4 siblings in our family. Because my sister has made a few mistakes on this in the past, including inaccurate amounts, I requested to be part of her tax preparation. After I discovered she had yet again made mistakes on her tax prep, we set up a 2nd appt. to correct her tax form. When we arrived, *Lynn* basically kicked me out of her office telling me she would not deal with the situation due to confidentiality, even tho my sister as the client wanted me there. She did not even give me a chance to explain the entire situation when I asked for a moment of her time. She had entered a *false* rental income amount into my sister's form which I wanted to correct and walked away when I asked to discuss the situation, even though I was gracious, polite as was my sister. She essentially had a melt down with no provocation whatsoever. The office manager intervened and was also not helpful. UNPROFESSIONAL. We ended up having to re-do my sister's 2020 tax return on our own, paying the online prep fees. Because Duvall H&R charged my sister over $250 for preparation we called corporate H&R and asked for a refund of the original amount. The office manager then called my sister several weeks ago stating "we'll see what we can do".DUVALL H&R block has not yet REFUNDED the $250+ fee for a simple 1040A. My sister spent over $300 on tax prep for something we did ourselves. Ridiculous.At least I've shown my sister how we can do these taxes on our own and no longer need to pay rude people to do this work.
