“Great location, very clean, well organized, lots of equipment, not too crowded. Overall, the model of what a gym should be. My only concern is the outside lighting, it’s dark outside in the parking lot after sunset.”

“Robbie is great. He's super knowledgeable and will offer you a great training plan in a no frills, welcoming environment. My kids also love his youth program!”

“I switched to this gym earlier this year because my previous gym was shifting to more of a weightlifting emphasis, and I was interested in continuing to pursue CrossFit type functional training. They have been so accommodating! I do the open gym option and then I get the Mayhem training on top of it. But the classes I've attended are fantastic, with great, friendly coaches, wonderful facilities, and prompt responses to any email I send to them about questions that I have. I love this place! Additionally, they gave me immediate 24/7 access to the gym, whereas my previous gym would not, even after almost 10 years there!”

“My son and nephew have been doing speed and agility and strength training sessions and it definitely shows in their performance on the field. Shon has been great to work with, very professional- sessions start and end on time with reminder texts the day before ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I had my first cycle class experience this week at Handlebar. The vibes are immaculate. Fun music, engaging and challenging workout, and Steve is super friendly. A someone who never does any form of cardio and definitely isn’t the definition of “highly fit,” its challenging for me to enjoy a workout class, but I was hooked after the first class!”

“Good gym overall with a large functional fitness area. Wall space is a little challenging to find with all of the cardio equipment, but there are plenty of options. New-ish locker room, sauna, and shower facilities with stall showers, as compared to the bays of other gyms on post. Downside is that the hot water is VERY slow to warm up.”

“Equipment availability will vary on time but overall good vibes and everyone seems to wipe down equipment as necessary. Dress code doesn’t seem to be enforced but I haven’t come across anything too bad personally. Love this gym to work out in.”

“The gym is nice! Lots of room and equipment, but it gets busy so I recommend you go during off hours like after PT or after lunch. They do have the 24 hours access (registration required).”

“The lovely ladies at the front desk are always nice and kind hearted. The gym equipment is taken care of and there’s rarely a time I have to wait to use a piece of equipment.”

“Great combination of cardio and strength training! Front desk staff and coaches have been super nice too. The music is fun and high energy. I thought it was going to be competitive because of the screens with peoples info (splat points, heart rate, calories burned, etc), but it really isn’t! Everyone is there just doing their own workout. It’s been a great addition to my weekly workout routine!”

“I'd like to give a shout-out to Zach Berg. I started my training sessions with him back in October last year. I live a rather sedentary lifestyle (office work) and had let my health slip through the years. To top it off, these last couple of years have been EXTRA turbulent and my stress levels have been through the roof. I didn't originally think I'd last more than a few sessions but, I'm still going to most of my sessions nearly 6 months later. He's been very patient and helpful with my journey; he recognizes when I should slow down or encourages me to push through when I want to give up. I enjoy his company during training and the humor he adds is a wonderful way to end (what is typically) a stressful day.Enough about Zach - the atmosphere of the gym is positive. The music is always different but, I zone out anyways. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not - not a big problem as I usually space out once I start to suffer (trust me, it doesn't take long for me to get winded). I constantly see the employees moving around to keep the space clean and clear of hazards. Additionally, they have a very broad range of hours. I've been considering adding running into my day and popping in before work might be the solution as the weather is often a deterrent for me. So thank you to the poor soul(s) who opens at 5am. Another thing - truly a no judgement zone. I always walk up in there looking haggard as heck, beaten down to the core, a little hostile and ready for a drink. These reps are always greeting me with smiles and saying hello and goodbyes. Just shows what good natured people are working there.Overall, great people make for a great environment.”

“Lot of guys in here. Some of them wear pants and jump into what appear to be nets. Other times there are a bunch of frogmen yelling about something and pretending to be Navy Seals. Not a Good pool for tag or chicken fights. Would not recommend for bbqs, date nights, squirt gun fights, or watching fireworks because it's indoors.”

“Great way to tone and strengthen muscles. Wonderful staff who make the 15 minute workout fun and effective. I have Cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders, but they make adjustments to the weight machines for me and others so it's safe and effective.”

“Of all the gyms Ive belonged to (West Pac, Balleys, Curves, Figures and LA Fitness) none of them compare to Planet Fitness. The staff are really nice and truly non judge mental (one girl staff member at Balleys told me I was obese and that's back when I was slim. I asked her what do you call people that are fat and she said, morbidly obese?)And they're so clean. They have cleaning stations throughout and everyone has to wipe down their equipment after they use it. Also, they don't allow guys to slam down their weights or do any loud grunting. One time at LA Fitness and guy was grunting so loud and a lady said, I think someone is having a baby?”

“Nice small compact gym. A couple squat racks. Dumbbells and cardio equipment. Shout out to the ladies and gentleman that keep this place super clean and friendly. Would recommend ?”

“Our daughter came to gymnastics here, and we also attended a birthday party here for a friend of my son's. great indoor space with lots of room. Everything feels sprung, giant floors for kids to run and bounce on. We haven't done any serious gymnastics yet, but judging by the banners and awards hung everywhere, this place is definitely serious. The equipment all looked exactly like what you would see in a professional competition, and I did not notice anything that looked worn out or unused laying around. There are tons of things to learn and try and it seems appropriate for all skill levels. Considering how rainy the area can be, this seems like a great idea for keeping kids indoors and active in the rainy times. My daughter wants to continue coming here and we likely will.”

“I love this school! Every staff member is always ready to help. A little bit of advice when you are trying to get in contact with financial aid is to email, especially during covid times. They will make sure that you are taken care of! Thank you Pierce for your help ?”

“LA Fitness is perfect place for our family. It has swimming pool, private showers, hot tub, sauna, and wonderful gym equipments, basketball court and other classes. We like water exercise classes. Also appreciate handicap shower and room. One thing that will make it better is if LA Fitness can make handicap shower entry from the gym instead of only way to access by going to either woman or male locker room. I have son who is adult disabled and if I was to go by myself, I would have to take my adult disable male son to female locker room to access handicap shower/bathroom. Or I would have to ask one of the front desk male to walk my adult son to male locker room to meet me other side to access handicap shower/bathroom. I think they can make an opening on one wall to allow access from gym to handicap without having to enter locker room.Otherwise we are above and beyond grateful for gym membership.”

“This is hands down THE best AF in the area. The equipment and the club are so well maintained and they have two Peloton bikes and an Octane machine. I haven’t been able to find these premium machines in any other AF clubs. It’s obvious the owner invests in his club and his members. Other reviewers give low ratings because the owner has rules and standards for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and working order of the equipment. Are you kidding? I actually appreciate that the owner wants his members to have access to quality, well maintained equipment, and that he wants his members to have a positive experience when working out (such as not having to listen to people yacking on their phones). I’ve been there several times now and I’ve never known the owner to be anything but friendly. If this club wasn’t so far away I’d make this my home club in an instant.”

“Laid back atmosphere in comparison to stuffy corporate gym environments. If you’re looking for great personal trainers, this is the gym for you. Inexpensive membership fee but with everything you could possibly want from a gym.”
