Deceptive billing. Was seen by my sleep Dr. for first time. They charged me a copay, which I was OK with. They DID tack on an additional $30 as OUTPATIENT!?:!?!? What !?! I went to the drs office, paid my copay, and they are able to DOUBLE dip and charge me double? I WAS NOT an OUTPATIENT.Stay away from this unethical practice.

This place is very unprofessional. Open conversations about clients in the emergency waiting room. Laughs and giggles like they don't take their job seriously. After waiting 2.5 hours for stiches in my hand with heavy waves of pain. I finally got treated. Overall dont expect this EMERGENCY room too give your needs. Again VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. SKAGIT VALLEY IS A GREAT MEDICAL CENTER IF YOU EVER NEED SOMETHING

Don''t bother calling them on the main switchboard, despite the good and efficient work being done by the persons at the hospital the antiquated, 'merry go round' phone system is embarrassing employed and should be tended to. Unbelievable. 25 minutes to get incredibly dizzy on that merry go round, and no human to speak with. Egad, where is the quality in that. If I had a blood pressure and heart problem I would have had a stroke from frustration. This is not the first time this has happened......why of why to I continue to try to see if it has improved? ????????

Went to have blood drawn and it was just the 2 of us the entire 1.5 hours of waiting .The Phlebotomist were hanging in the drawing room talking then they made a lap around entrance and then back inside. I ask the women at the ck in desk if she would alert them to the fact that we needed to have a blood draw and she said, NO’.Unbelievable, then is was another 35 minutes until they called my name and then another 20 minutes to call in my husband. Then later on I fell on a trail and broke my L knee and so badly sprained the R ankle. Took a week before I could get to the hospital X-Ray department. 8 days later my Dr. called and asked about the X-Rays, I called and the tech told me their fax was slow, I told them that was impossible so they took another 5 days to get them to my Dr.His comment was they don’t like to share outside of the hospital. I will risk dying rather than go back to this pitiful hospital. My work history was a medical lab tech soI can have a well rounded opinion on patient care and I am certain that this hospital ia not the place to go.

The nurse in the ER named Taylor really doesn’t care for patient wellbeing. She discharged me after I stated I’m still in pain and how the headache was worse. I know there are nurses that care but this one here made me feel uncomfortable and made me feel like she didn’t care about my wellbeing while I’m still in pain

We spent Christmas at the emergency room this year with my 8 year old and a broken wrist. From the Intake Admin to discharge Nurse, Xray tech, triage Nurse, Doctor, and Nurse who gave my son a painless splint with the most positive attitude ever at hospital much less on Christmas- blown away by the prompt service with a smile, staff efficiency and a well organized breeze of a Xmas ER visit for a child. Everyone was very positive and encouraging to my son who obviously pretty down about the Xmas day broken “gift.” Thank you all and Merry Christmas !!!

I had to call at least 4 times to schedule a appointment and I still didn't get get one. They said they were going to keep me updated with my referral and then left me wondering if my referral was sent there.

I had been to the ER 3 times in 5 days (2 times here and once at Skagit Valley Hospital) for unexplained tingling throughout my body that had radiated up to my head. It got so bad that I was unable to sleep and began experiencing severe and debilitating anxiety that had caused me to have to take a leave from work. My 3rd visit was to Whidbey Health ER where the understanding and compassionate Dr. Hansen took the time to listen to me and help me. He treated me with nothing but respect and provided me with treatment that ultimately alleviated my symptoms. Although I still need to follow-up with a neurologist to determine the underlying cause, Dr. Hansen helped to make me more comfortable and I was able to get back to my normal day-to-day life. Thank you so much Dr. Hansen!!

Clinic is crooked and is only open to make the health of others worse, staff included.

While visiting Whidbey, Island, I came down with Covid. My doctors online prescribed paxlovid which needs to be started immediately. They sent my prescription to the pharmacy associated with the Whidbey health medical center. i called ahead and found out that they close at 6. Feeling very sick, i put on A mask drove to the medical center. I did not see signage for the pharmacy so I went into the building to information desk. There at the desk were 3 young ladies. I asked where the pharmacy was and they did not know. One of them said 'it's down the street where the wells fargo bank used to be. I got in the car and drove around in the dark and did not find the pharmacy . Frustrated and panicking a bit, I returned to Whidbey health to the information desk and told them I needed them to give me an address or better directions. One young lady looked at me and said she didn't know. No effort to look it up , just clear disdain for me. Feeling pissed off, I asked her if she was retarded. ( wrong word, incompetent and lazy would be more accurate. ) She then threatened to call security and told me that with my attitude , I would have to leave the building. After a heated exchange , one of the cow faced ladies told me it was down the next to the helicopter. You go to information desk: nobody knows anything and they make no effort to help . Was it because I am white haired and elderly? I asked my brother about this info desk, and he said he had the exact same experience with them 6 months ago. The next day I called the hospital to file a complaint.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Had the worst experience back in 2020 with the labor of my daughter. Nurses were super pushy and rude to me. Only one nurse was sweet and understanding when I had trouble nursing, the others made me feel horrible. Also they charged my insurance double for some procedures and kept going back months after I had my daughter and charging my insurance. My total labor and delivery for a normal delivery was almost $40k. That is not ok.

Horrible experience, definitely get off the island and go to a real hospital if you need immediate care for an emergency

I was admitted for sepsis and C. Diff. Colitis. This was especially difficult because I've been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It was a miserable experience for the first 10 hours in the ER. I had 103-104 fever, firing out of both ends, hallucinating. The nuses and staff in the ER did what they could to make me comfortable while I endured the symptoms. The ER doctor was very thorough, testing me for everything and starting antibiotics immediately. Once I was admitted to my own room the doctor worked very well with my oncologist at Fred Hutch. This was the second time I was admitted here and the nurses and staff were attentive and encouraging. I had a visit from the respiratory therapist, social worker, and kitchen staff all on the first day of admission. I definitely felt well cared for.

Absolutely horrible and unempathetic care from the ONLY HOSPITALIST who works here. Dr. Rangel is mean and unempathetic when interacting with patients. I've never been this disappointed in my medical care but man oh man did Dr. Rangel fill my heart with hurt and anger. All the nursing staff here is kind and wonderful! If I could give them all 5 stars I would but unfortunately they have such a horrible physician....
