I have been seeing Dr Lark for roughly 5 years now and he's always gone above and beyond for all of my dogs. We've had emergency procedures, X-rays, check ups, puppy visits, and everything in between. I've never felt overcharged or taken advantage of. I recently had to say goodbye to my elderly French Bulldog and Lark and the tech were so kind and sympathetic and really just made the experience as easy as possible. After bringing in my new puppy the tech mentioned my dog that recently passed and it just made me happy she remembered. My mother in law even recently moved here from San Diego and was apprehensive about a new vet. I recommended Lark. Afterward she said it felt like her home vet.

Just called. Was told they are not taking any new patients since a dr retired and they can't take new patients. Was told to check back and hopefully they will find another vet.

We have worked with all three of the Vets and they are all super/ Vet Techs are well trained and caring. Can't say enough about Penn Cove Vet. I would like to be treated this well when I visit my own doctors.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Penn Cove Vet. The staff and vets are some of the nicest most caring people I've ever met. We've unfortunately had multiple pet emergencies and they've taken us in immediately without question. They are so kind and caring. They remember our pets names (even the ones that aren't with us at the time) and ask how they're doing. Highly recommended!!

Great vet. Reasonably priced. Excellent service. What more could you want. Wish we weren't moving off the Island. It's going to be hard to find a good replacement.

Great place. Both vets I've seen have been professional and very helpful. Prices are much more affordable than other friendly place in Oak Harbor. I found everything well worth the money. Highly recommend.

I can't comment on the professionalism or the skill of the veterinarians; I never made it that far. After moving to the area, I scheduled the required "new patient" appointment for 1 of 3 of our 4-legged family members and had to wait 4 or 5 weeks for that. Ok, fine: the office is busy, I get that. But meanwhile, my elderly dog still has medical issues and needs. And the front office staff were so horrible (lazy and rude) in person and on the phone that I was compelled to cancel the new patient appointment and go elsewhere. I did what was required: I made the new patient appointment. And I waited. And when I sought assistance from our new vet office just days prior to our appointment, I was refused and I was treated like a random person off the street looking to get something for nothing. When, in fact, I was attempting to establish a relationship with this local vet for all of our animals, now and future. I had never encountered this at a veterinary office before; and we moved around frequently, so we have known several vet offices over the years. And I'm sure they would all say we were great clients.

We have been using this veterinarian for 10 years now. We have an old hound dog and two cats. We are thankful for the care and attention they have paid to our animals. Our 13 year old dog went in for surgery today to have five lumps removed. Everything went off without a hitch, and they were kind and attentive as always. If you are in need of a veterinarian I highly recommend you use the services of Penn Cove Veterinarians.

Changing my review because I feel like when I see any vet other than Dr. Schmid that my pockets are being pillaged. Today's experience was just disheartening.
