Typical Safeway Fuel stop. This station needs organization. Cars are pointing in all different directions and after you fuel you can't get out because and inconsiderate person pulled in after pointing the wrong way. I wasn't the only person in that situation.

I make reviews for places and their bathrooms. Cause I like good places that are CLEAN..... but this place didn't have one. So here it is-
Heads up! There's 2 entries. It gets very busy and clogged from the main entrance but you can go around to the side in the Safeway parking lot and get in sooner.
Everyone and their mom stops here cause gas is cheap, there's a grocery store for cheap food/ snacks and a coffee shop. Plus it's right next to the freeway. So plan some time if you think you might stop for gas.

I didn't actually go to the station. I went to the grocery store. The parking lot is being repaired, and the gas station has huge lines. I waited about 15 minutes to back out of the parking spot. It was quite annoying in the heat. My advice is to park away from the gas station.

This place is a mixed bag. Good prices for fuel for sure. But often there are card skimmers on the pumps. So it's important to use tap to pay or a card you don't mind having to get a new number. Be careful.
Seems like some of the pumps are not working frequently. And for some reason using Google or Samsung Pay works about a quarter of the time. And this week, myself and others were not able to enter their Safeway account number for a fuel discount.

Safeway needs to upgrade their Cle Elum store and fuel station. Safeway usually has the best prices for gas in Cle Elum. The problems are, their pumps go down all the time and the fuel station needs to be bigger. Every weekend, holiday and Summer people visit the beautiful Cle Elum area making it difficult and a pain in the rear to get gas and groceries. The store gets crowded, shelves are emptied and the gas station design is poor creating chaos trying to find a working pump. If you want diesel, not all of the 10 pumps have it, if they're working. Safeway Corporate, it's time again to improve the only grocery store in town, PLEASE!
