Not worth going to, overpriced for the area, the employees seem to be on edge, and after speaking with the locals it appears the owner is not kind to her employees.

I was in this store this afternoon with my 91 year old Grandmother who wanted to purchase a wind chime that had a price tag on it. The young gal working in the store was extremely rude, snapped at my Grandmother, took the chime out of her hands and hung it back up. We asked if we weren't supposed to take it off the display, she rudely responded that it was not to be removed from where it was displayed. My family and I visit here every year, I will never go back to this store, I was appalled at the way she spoke to us.

terrible place to work, i worked there for 8 months or so, i was discriminated against for my religion, once they found out what religion i was, my working hours went from their full time to 3 hours a week. my coworkers were very sweet and all agreed that i was not being treated fairly. our boss jana also was keeping our tips we made for some time while the salt bistro was opening. but as a shop, 10/10 such a cute store but i would never recommend working there

If you are in Chewelah... DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!! Such a diamond in this little town. Each shop is so much fun and so unique. Picked up some super cute clothes in the ladies boutique, found amazing decor AND stopped and had some of the MOST delicious ice cream ever! But the best part of this place is all of the friendly faces, sweet smiles and fun stories you'll get from each member of the staff that work here. ❤️ They are amazing. Thank you Janna for this perfect little spot of heaven. MUCH LOVE! The West's ❤️

Came here with some friends for a late lunch. The building is beautiful. Went into one of the shops and then lunch at the Salt Bistro. Seating was great. Delighted by the option for casual seating! We sat on patio couch and lounge chairs. Service was friendly, checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed, and even offered a free popsicle to my friends kid!
Sadly the building does not have any baby changing stations, and is not wheelchair/stroller friendly (stairs only and flower pot blocking most of entrance). I found this very odd and frustrating as the shops are geared towards household goods. I would expect to see family’s shopping here.
The food presentation is perfect, but many dishes were on the salty side. Salty enough that the 10 year old with us even caught on.
We had the (1) beef filet medallions, my husband raves about the cook of the meat but left the mushroom sauce as it too salty. (2) Teriyaki chicken served in a pineapple, very fun and tasty, but sauce too salty. (3) shredded chicken tostado had the sauce was also too salty. (4) hummus platter, it was a hit! So tasty and delicious. Wish it came with crispier chips as it was a little messy to dip in with soft pita bread. 5) whipped feta, absolutely delicious and was large enough to share with the table. This one was a winner.
