Steelhead Cider
114 E Woodin Ave C, ChelanSteelhead Cider was on my list while I was doing a cidery run to the Chelan area last time I was over in that direction. I saw a lot of tempting choices here and so I got a taster set so I wouldn't have to decide on just one cider. For my taster set I got the Peargatory, Chimera, Honey Bubbles and Cold Smoke. I liked the Peargatory a lot. I am often drawn to perry ciders often and this one was no exception in the matter. The Honey Bubbles was very good as well as it was more of a dry Rosé ciderbut with a little bit of sweetness. The Chimera was a cheery apple cider and that one was pretty good but a wasn't one of my favorites as was the Cold Smoke which came across heavier on my pallette. None of the ciders were bad, I just had some favorites. In fact in this part of Washington state I am not so sure you can go wrong with any cidery you go to. This tasting room is situated right in downtown Chelan.

Karma Vineyards
1681 S Lakeshore Rd, ChelanWe got to visit this vineyard on our fall trip, and it did not disappoint. The indoor wine cave was interesting and unique in itself. We also got to sit outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. They had plenty of blankets available if you needed to warm up. We all enjoyed the wine flights. The food was delish. The staff was personable and knowledgeable, as they have been with the vineyard for years. It is definitely one of my favorite vineyards on that side of the lake.

We just opened a bottle of One Red from 2016, a wine she had told us about several years prior that at that time "was not behaving". On our last visit this wine was tasted and purchased. Tonight, it was exceptional, well worth the wait, by Jo and ourselves. We look forward to our next visit to see the exciting new venue (and some brews of course!).
