“I stayed two nights on the third floor. The floor has maybe eight rooms without bathrooms, but there's two bathrooms for the floor to share. That worked out great. The room was only about $90 a night. A great price. The hotel was built in 1911 and has a lot of character. I'll go there again if I visit that area again.”

“Nice hotel. Great location near some "not downtown" eating. Close enough to Camas to be a short drive. Clean rooms. Well kept. And a nice location. I'll be back for sure.Rooms: Clean. Good size. Plenty of pillows and towels. Good lighting and the tech all worked as advertised. I'll be back for sure.”

“On a recent trip to Portland from Orlando, I stayed at the Candlewood Suites, PDX when I arrived and departed. Danielle was at the desk both times and she is just a wonderful person. She checked me in and was very helpful explaining the house rules. She was friendly and even laughed at my multiple "dad jokes". Thanks you for having such a great employee.

Rooms: Clean with everything I needed. I really liked the floor plan and the bed was comfortable.”

“Over night person SHARON (sorry if I misspelled your name) but she was / is the sweetest woman ever I myself am a truck driver every hotel was booked out my company found this hotel booked last min and we was able to get a room here !! I came in she was welcoming she must’ve seen how wore out I was this gesture she made might be something small to her but it was BIG to me she checked me in fast immediately offered me some fruit and whatever she could find me to eat it was sweet because what she didn’t know is I haven’t ate in over 12 hours I was stuck in the snow for hours in the rental car I was drained so coming into this hotel and meeting a person like Sharon MADE MY NIGHT AFTER HAVING A HORRIBLE DAY if I ever have to come some where and be stranded again I would definitely pick this place please if you don’t do anything Sharon continue to be a sweet genuine compassionate person ….I went to other hotels before this alot of rude front desk people but not Sharon I can’t thank her enough I was able to eat my fruit shower and sleep peacefully but I thought about leaving this review all night some people never know how their interactions might affect or help a person so I pray she see this and smile big cause I definitely did”

“I am a Marriott titanium member, but Lorraine at the front desk made me feel that I received a better service than at Marriott hotels. I had an issue with the delivery of an important package from overseas, and Lorraine genuinely tried to help me in any way as if it was her own package. Also, after I checked out, I got a call from Lorraine letting me know that I left a pair of socks in the room, which she could mail it to me. What a great service! The room was clean and the location was perfect as well. I am now an IHG member!”

“I absolutely love staying here. The whole staff (especially laura) is amazing and very friendly. The rooms are clean. The pool area is clean. I had a little issue with the person next to me being extremely noisy and Laura was very professional about how she handled it. I would give this motel 10/10. Definitely recommend!”

“The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. My friend and I took advantage of the hot tub and sauna! Perfection!!! The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The only negatives we had was the lack of hot water! It might have been the day, but it was less than stellar. Lukewarm at best.Other than that, we had an overall great experience!Safety: The key card was required at every door after dark, and that was comforting. We felt safe as 2 women traveling alone.”

“Decent, overall. The design with the barn door is a bit dated and the door in my room weighed a ton. The door felt to be off track and nearly locked me in. I'm athletic and in shape, so I can't imagine anyone who weighs much less than I having a chance.”

“Noteworthy details: We arrived at midnight and the hotel shuttle runs until 11:30 PM, and the staff called an Uber to shuttle us from PDX to the hotel. What great customer service.”

“Only reason I'm giving 4 is that they still have the lower window/wall units for the AC....so it makes the room loud and just has that unit smell...unlike a central air system.

Otherwise, clean - good breakfast selection - and helpful staff.”

“Nothing but positive things to say about this place. Stayed here for a week before Christmas. It was quiet and peaceful. Housekeeping was amazing. Came in everyday. New fresh towels, garage out, clean fresh sheets. Yes you can hear the train and some traffic but it wasn’t that a bad at all. I’m a light sleeper and it never woke me up. Bed and pillows were comfortable as well. Will stay here again when in town.”

“This is a perfect location near the Portland (OR) Airport. We like to stay here the night before an early trip and/or the night we arrive back in Oregon late. The hotel is clean, quiet, with a great staff and we especially appreciate the wonderful breakfast options (think waffles and bacon!) We highly recommend the La Quinta Inn & Suites at the Portland Airport.”

“The hotel was clean and I felt safe (for Portland). I didn’t see homeless or the like around. My main issue when I look for a hotel is the comfort of the bed, smell and noise. All of these checked out. For my taste, I like a soft bed. This wasn’t as soft as I like but I asked for another comforter and slept with it folded underneath me. Then it was soft enough and I slept great.”

“Nice place with breakfast (plenty of options for kids and adults) with a super friendly staff...except a couple of stinkers at the front desk, oh well. The shift manager was helpful and enjoyed getting to know the guests a little. It has free breakfast and a short drive to plenty of local food, wineries, breweries and shopping areas. Clean pool and hot tub with a small exercise room...and plenty of coffee all day, too.”

“The credit card transaction requirement was weird in that they won't do anything over the phone. Also, they lock the lobby doors so you have to use your key to get into the foyer, which was weird. But, the accommodations were clean and comfortable.”

“When a friend and I checked in at the front desk and were greeted by Deidre. She was nice and seemed to know her job well and she made sure all of our needs were met before we headed to our room. The room was very nice and our stay was peaceful. Breakfast was everything Deidre told us it would be. Checked out with Ruby and she was nice and helpful as well. We will be back soon, thanks.”

“Wonderful staff. Very helpful. Got a great room. Joel was wonderful. He came as soon as I called and had to circle around cause I wasn't to the pick up area yet. Definitely recommend this place. Great location from airport also.”

“The staff was really nice and considering it was a motel, the place was really nice. Just needs more pillows!

Food & drinks: No car no problem cause you can walk out the door to a million options”

“Absolutely love this hotel. It's small, privately owned, and tucked away in a safer area. Location is great. I also want to emphasize that this hotel is in a very SAFE area. No crime very few of any homeless lurking so your vehicle is safe here as are you. The nicest Walmart in all of the metro is right across the street. Shopping retailers are within 1.5 miles. Grocery retailers as well. Rates are reasonableand rooms are CLEAN!!!! Staff is amazing and small so you get to know Buck, Shanelle, Shelly, and Leroy. They're all very nice and accommodating. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. I've frequented it for over a year. Highly recommend and will be back anytime I return to Portland. Recommend for business travel( short or long-term), short family stay( no pool or restaurant). There are alot of places near by. With children in tow, I wouldn't spend more than a weekend here. It's a 2-star hotel no real amenities other than coffee and fresh ice water are complimentary 24/7.”
