“Convenience for more money. A smaller selection of a chain grocery store. In a pinch... you pay the price. They DO have BIG meat sales a couple of times per year. It's well worth a stock up! Pre ordered a TASTY prime rib for Christmas for an unbelievable low price.”

“I never been to "G.O." before; It was different, yet similar in someway to non traditional food markets. The prices are much lower than local competitors throughout the area.G.O. has a mixture of products from fresh organic vegetables to fresh garden vegetables. The store is well organized. I suggest you browse through the store first to get a sense of where things are.The employees have positive attitudes to go along with their kindness and willingness to assist in any way possible.Kudos to the store manager for her exceptional leadership.”
“Love to shop here!
Great selection and competitive prices for the quality of the items they provide.
Superb quality meat selection.
Tons of local businesses items to shop from.
Huge selection to try.
Very clean and the staff are extremely pleasant.”

We like to ride our bikes into town and grab some snacks here before heading down to Seawall Park for a little break when the weather is nice. It's also good for picking up a few things in between larger grocery trips on-island. They carry Sea Biscuit breads, Oatley, Effie's Oat Cakes, and some other specialty items we love that aren't available at the Red Apple. Their produce selection is pretty good and the deli case usually has some great salads (love the tuna pasta salad), and fried chicken (juicy and delicious in our experience) as well.We don't have much personal need for the clothing/general store side, but it's nice that it's there and some of our visiting family members have found souvenir items to take home. We're happy to have this resource in our little downtown area!”
“Great variety of products. Asian selection is huge. Mexican choices great. A lot of fresh produce as well. Go there often for food items. Walmart food selection poor and haggens way too expensive. Just my thoughts.”

1450 SW Erie St, Oak Harbor“Thank you to the flower lady who, so graciously, on Christmas Day, wrapped this heavy cream with a perfect red ribbon bow for me. Trust me, the recipient of this gift will be highly amused. ?”
“Most recently came here in September 2021 on the hunt for vanilla ice cream with my grandma after picking some blackberries at a local state park. The parking lot is easy to navigate and carts easily accessible by the store entrance. Aisles were clearly labeled and it was straightforward to find what we were looking for. Some of the shelves were pretty picked over, though that might have partially been due to supply shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic. The store itself was cleanly and the workers friendly.”
“Great place that stays open late, which is really nice because nothing else is open in the entire city. They also have really good fresh donuts every morning and a great selection and a very friendly staff and it's a good overall feeling.”
“Best grocery store on Whidbey. Besides a great selection of the usual stuff, they've got an excellent deli counter with great options for picnics. Favorites include the fried chicken, tuna salad, cauliflower-broccoli crustless quiche, and the Asian noodle salad. Beware of the mildly grouchy staff.”
“Most importantly, we came to visit my son and his wife. They are both in the military. Whiskey Island has such a cute little town. We went on a Saturday afternoon, visiting all the little shops and had dinner at El Cazasor, which was a very good Mexican restaurant .”
“The best pharmacy in town! The consistent quality, friendliness, and overall help to fulfill customer needs is by far the best I’ve ever had! They are phenomenal”
“Very tall ceilings, navigable aisles, and tall shelving make for sharpening detective/finding skills when looking for a particular item at this Walmart in Oak Harbor. My Grandma and I like to visit both when we are looking for something specific and when we are just in the mood to look around and see what they have. Offerings are numerous and varied. Employees are helpful and positively engage with the customers. Parking can be packed later in the day even though the lot is large.”

“Fantastic people who go out of their way to help our community! Last year we had a big wind storm and we lost power for a week, Huntingtons included. They hooked up a generator to their pumps and were writing down people's credit card numbers to charge later when the power came back. They may not be the cheapest, but I happily support those that support us!”
