Such caring, compassionate people! They really care for the animals who find their way to the shelter. We are what we like to refer to as “serial adopters”. Our last 4 dogs have come from the HSSV.

We adopted Kodiak 4 1/2 years ago. Siberian Husky. He’s been great! Kramer (black) we adopted approximately 15 years ago. He passed away six years ago. They both have been great dogs.

I highly recommend going here to get your forever pet. Working first hand at Hssv they care for the animal like family even though my time was short there I wouldn't change it for the world.

Non profit, privately owned animal shelter for animals in need. We care for abused, abandoned, neglected, and homeless pets with no voice of their own. Our services include a low-income pet food bank, spay and neuter assistance, adoption services and counseling, pet behavioral counseling, pet therapy visits, a Barn Buddy Program, education and outreach and much, much more. We are for socially conscious animal sheltering in our valley and beyond.
