“We haven't been there is a few years, but really miss it there. This was the best daycare we've had. They keep the kids active and do a lot of activities with the kids. My son loved being there. The teachers were very good with the kids and fed the kids good food. The owners are great people and take pride in their business.I was just talking to my so. About Root to wings. We both miss it. It's too bad that a lot of other places here in kent dosent do the same.”

“I learned so much at the barista academy! Paulo and Bob are so insightful and have years of knowledge! They hold back nothing when it comes to the coffee game. If your interested in coffee/business, this is the place you need to be learning.”

“I’ve been involved with this school for almost 2 years and it’s such a great choice. Each teacher is kind, welcoming, and works so hard to make sure each child is cared after. They are flexible and work with schedules very well. The whole staff is easy to talk to and overall, it is an organized environment. They use positive reinforcement and balance that with praise for your kids. Everyone communicates so well with parents/guardians and in a timely manner! Each classroom has lots of fun toys and the playground offers plenty of space to play with friends and roam around riding bikes! They invest in your family and they offer your kid a fantastic service of childcare and education. Sundance is one of the best schools around for these age groups!”

“I’ve been a ukulele student with Seattle Drum School for several years. It’s awesome to have a coach that meets me where I’m at. The SDS is a welcoming community for all.”

“My two children had been well taken care of at this facility for over 5 years until we had to move away. The staff truly cared about the children and they took great photos throughout the day to update the parents. This is something I took for granted until I'm now at a different daycare where standards are just not the same.”

“We moved to Washington from Hawaii in 2022 while I was 20 weeks pregnant with my third child. The first preschool that we chose for our then 3 year old was not a pleasant experience. I learned that I had to do more of my own due diligence before choosing the next school.Let me just say that I really felt like we struck gold with Pixie Hill. I am VERY grateful for the wonderful teachers (Ms Ashley, Ms Rebecca and Ms Bailey) at Pixie. It is because of them that my son has had such an enjoyable experience this last year. He asks us every day at pick up if he can stay at school longer, and even on the weekends - he looks forward to Mondays (cant say I feel the same haha). One thing that really sold me before we ever got to visit the school was the large back yard/play area, and knowing that the kiddos would be spending time outside everyday (rain or shine). The extra bonus is the location--not only is it accessible to Mercer Island families, but also convenient for families in Seattle and Bellevue.Wish we had more time at Pixie, but looking forward to when my youngest will be able to attend.”

“I'm a parent that has come from a daycare in tender years in Auburn, where I did not have a good experience for my son being in his first daycare, but kinder years his experience here just starting has been magnificent. All the teachers are great and my son has been doing so much better since he started at this daycare and the one thing I really love about this daycare center is that they have a app to keep you updated on your children at all times when they get changed when they eat if any incident happens, you get notified on your phone on the app all in all I'm having a great experience with this daycare center and my son is too. Along with having past experience with KinderCare, my other child did great in KinderCare system as well.Thank you everyone at KinderCare for making our experience way better than our first and a special shout out to all the teachers at the Auburn kinder!”

“As a family who received quality early head start 25+ years ago, it is an honor for me to return as a part of the Denise Louie Education Center (DLEC) team where the same passion and commitment continues in promoting school and life readiness through multicultural early learning services to families like mines across king county.I was once shared that when you find passion in your work, you don't work another day in your life. I enjoy coming in everyday where it's not just what you do that matters, but also who you are and how you aspire grow is important too.”

“We have loved KidsCentre and the infant room, where my son has gone since he was 4 months old. All of the teachers are so wonderful and really caring, and they helped me feel comfortable sending my baby to daycare while I'm at work. We're relocating so he won't be joining the Waddler room when he turns 1, but I couldn't have asked for a better childcare center for my son's first year. They really set a high bar for future care!”

“My toddler goes to SELC Admiral 1 and we LOVE it. Mirna and Paloma in the toddler room are the most wonderful teachers we could hope for. They care for our toddler like he is one of their own. It is such a relief to know that he enjoys going there every day and that he is well cared for. The teachers are also great at communicating what he did each day and how he is doing. Finding the right daycare is stressful and I am so glad we chose SELC Early Learning Center Admiral 1.”

“Our child has attended for 2+ years and loves the teachers and their classmates. The directors and teachers are professional, communicate well and address any concerns proactively. Love seeing all the kids art in the walls and getting updates on the app throughout the day, too!”

“We transferred our 1 and 4 year old to Kre8tive Kidz and I am so happy we did! The quality of care and communication we receive is wonderful. Our kids love it, and the teachers are warm and caring. They go out of their way and host parent/teacher conferences and the level of detail we received at our first conference I was blown away by. They tracked what my daughter was learning, how she was learning, where she was advancing, and where they were helping her. It is scary finding the right care for your kids, but we are so thankful we found this place. Oh yeah, and they have an after-school program!”

“We have enjoyed seeing the progress our child has made from Twos to now preschool. Class size is small, so kiddos get a lot of personal attention. Currently, we like the art focus in Ms. Tammy’s room. All the teachers have been great and teachers and helpers not in class still make an effort to get to know kids in other rooms. Mercer has great community.”

“We absolutely love Little Acorn Sprouts. As first-time parents, it was incredibly difficult for us to find teachers we trusted to watch our baby girl at 12mo, especially during COVID times. But we both work and eventually decided that our daughter was too social to stay home w/ just a nanny or au pair. Fast forward one year (she's almost 2yo now), and I literally cannot say enough good things about this center.Gianna is the director and goes above and beyond for the kids in both classrooms. Natalie is the lead for Little Acorn Sprouts and as a mom herself, treats the kids like extensions of her own family. Emily is the lead for the older classroom, but has an incredibly special bond w/ our daughter and sometimes babysits for us as well. Honestly, all off the staff (Rose, Lauren, Daisy, Cheska, Nina, Alex...) from each classroom are amazing and we feel so fortunate to have found them. All of the teachers at Little Acorns (both Sprouts and the Dayschool) are communicative, professional, and go the extra mile in sharing highlights from each day at pickups. They send photos and videos throughout the day as well, which I adore (and rewatch over and over again). They teach our little ones great habits, too (sign language, to put away toys, throw away trash, wash hands before eating, etc.) and are also very diligent about filing incident reports, even when the incident is minor.During the summers, they are extremely good about applying sunscreen and making sure all of the kids are hydrated. And above all, I have to give major kudos to the teachers for helping us potty train our toddler. It would NOT have been possible to potty train our little girl before she turned 2yo w/o their commitment, patience, and encouragement! We've only had experience w/ one other daycare, but based on what my friends say living all across the country, Little Acorn Sprouts' staff really do a lot more than what most daycares provide/offer. They are intentional about bringing the kids outdoors, think of the most creative activities, and the teacher:child ratio is ~1:4 (even though the state requires 1:7 for children under 2.5yo). I think the biggest example of how they're better than your typical daycare is around potty training: they honestly guided us through the process and made it happen!I love all of the staff, but I really have to give special recognition to Gianna, Emily, and Natalie. I have come to see them as real friends and I sincerely hope they stay in our lives long after our kid(s) grow out of Little Acorn Sprouts/Dayschool!”

“My son has been attending this center for 2 years this month. I am so glad I chose this center they truly care about my son. He started when he was 2 he is going to 4 this month and he is so smart he knows more than a normal 4 year old and he started being that way a last year. The first year I didn’t see much of a difference but there was a change in directors and I saw a HUGE change in him. The director and assistant director are very organized, kind and all of the teachers take time to get to know the kids. We actually moved but I don’t will not take him out of such a great place and a place he absolutely loves to go everyday. The drive everyday is worth the care he is getting. They have been amazing during this pandemic and take extra precautions to make sure our kids are safe . If you are looking for a place to take your kiddos I highly suggest this center they are amazing and I appreciate them so much!!!”

“Wow, I can't believe I found this place after all these years, I'm 20 years old and I remember coming here back at the age of 8 or so. It seemed like a good time.”

“Our infant son has absolutely thrived at bright horizons. We’ll be keeping him there until he ages out because he loves the staff. Everyone knows him, greets him, and clearly genuinely cares about him.

My favorite thing is the regular photo updates and the new milestone updates. Oh and the food which apparently my son devours, so it must be good. They take the kids outside everyday, do really beautiful arts and crafts with them, and expose them to diverse experiences.

I used to teach before switching careers so I feel like I’m a tough critic. But BH west Seattle has met and exceeded my expectations.”
