Took my pup Lulu in for a temperament test and she did great. They said if you don't get a phone call before the 2hr mark, then she's doing well. Said they recommend no later than 5hrs and if I wanted to check on her to see how she's doing, then coming 30mins later or come earlier to pick her up and see how she plays. Came to pick her up at the 4hr mark and told the gal there I'm there for my pup, but wanted to see how she plays first and how she's doing. Gal said sure, but didn't show me around and window was too far for me to see her outside playing. Told me she had a great day, sweet pup, and called to have someone bring Lulu in right after, so didn't really get to ask too many questions as I know she's going to need to go home asap to nap and rest. They told me she was playing with another dog and bumped into an old grouch who corrected her, but that correction ended up as a puncture wound and bleeding on her cheek. This is a surprise as I thought the temperament test was there to reduce the risk of this happening. Said to monitor it and put Neosporin on it. First time pup owner, so I left it at that, and I went home to consult my buddies who are longtime dog owners and also sent pics to my vet. My buddies told me that it was not common or acceptable and vet told me to bring her in after seeing the photo, so she's now on antibiotics to prevent infection. Vet said they don't want to say it's common as this shouldn't happen, but it does unfortunately. Called the camp a few times, no one picked up, and I didn't want to just leave a voicemail, so emailed the Camp to inquire further regarding the incident, and did not receive any response, so I decided to call again the next day. Had a chat with the gal on the phone who was apologetic and I stated that I thought the temperament test was supposed to reduce these incidences. She assured me that this doesn't happen often, there could be various reasons why this happened, but she could put a note in for the next time she's here to give her breaks when she gets too hyped up. So from the conversation, I found that their play area doesn't have separated sections for calm dogs who prefer to have their space vs. dogs who are more energetic and playful. In my email I did wonder about the dogs who bite - do they get three strikes they're out or how they handle these situations, but I forgot to ask during the phone call. And while I understand dogs can have their bad days or they get like this as they get older, do they still consider these dogs still candidates for camp or daycare that allow all dogs ages to encroach on their space? They do have kennels for more extreme cases where dogs need to separate. I understand old grouches and bad days, so if I do bring her, it may just be to give them another chance for just 1HR visits. I do like that they offer hourly rate, half day, and full day. I also heard about their boarding, where the dog may be crated or are allowed to free roam! I've also taken Lulu to PawsVIP and I really appreciate that they have a separate area for the energetic group and the calm group. She did very well there and when they noticed her getting too hyped up, they took her out for a break, and introduced her to the calm group and she did amazing. Only thing is they don't offer hourly rate, just half day or full day. Also didn't require a temperament test and first day trial was free. The two daycare experiences were quite different. Lulu loves playing with other dogs, so the bite didn't deter her or scare her in any way thankfully - as she's very confident, but I'd like to wait a little bit for her to heal before bringing her back to the camp for an hour of playtime. Trust is a bit lost there, so it may just be one hour visit at a time before I would consider half day or full days here. I don't want to knock them off just yet from our initial incident as I'm sure every daycare has had a bad day and everyone there was friendly. Took a star f

I truly think Camp Crockett owners have a great business and are trustworthy people. My only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is because there is always room for improvement and I would like to see updates from staff when boarding for several days, as an added courtesy. I have taken my dog (a Schnoodle) to both Little Campers and boarded her for up to 5 nights at the Burien location and will continue to do so.

We love Camp Crocket! Our dog loves the staff, especially the "Dude at the front desk" we call him Juno's Dog Father, like the Godfather. ❤️. She gets so excited just pulling into the driveway and she is always in good spirits when she comes home. I've boarded her many times and when she comes home all she wants to do is get back to the pack. She is our baby and they take great care of her, we in turn are so grateful to the staff.

We love Camp Crockett. They take really good care of our fur family. The owners care a lot about the welfare of your dogs. It isn’t the type of operation where the owners are managing it remotely, they are actually involved in the day to day. They have specific standards about temperament and vaccination as well as fecal tests. Not every dog is eligible, one of ours is not, it doesn’t mean that your dog is a bad dog, it just means they are not suited to a dog camp type environment. That is the way to make sure every pup is safe and has a good time.

Woods & Clay absolutely love it here! They are exited to go, they even know when we are heading down their street. When I pick them up, Woods walks out happy as can be carrying his brothers leash all the way to the car. I recommend to all my friends!

I have only used the small dog location twice since my chiweenie was seemingly traumatized after the second time but continued to help my friend by taking her dog to this location. Every time I did I had a very bad experience with the man running the front. He was rude and dismissive each time. The last time I went to drop my friends dog off, he told me I had needed to call first and when I went to leave he insisted I leave the dog. I would not recommend this place to anyone.Update to the response: my dog Pretzel was definitely a customer but will be no longer

We have had a great experience with Camp Crockett at both the Delridge location and the Burien location. Great for a drop in appointment or boarding. I feel the prices are affordable especially for the locations. We would be lost without Camp Crockett!

Loved this place until we started getting a really bad vibe from the dude at the front. I’ve heard from multiple people that he has deterred them as well. I hope things change because we loved the convenience and care!UPDATE: I was called mere moments after this review and was told that my situation was my fault and that the employee was correct on all fronts. Additionally, he said that business would not be hurt by losing me or anyone else that I had referred to. Such a weird experience.Another update: the owner texted me “Bless your heart. Get more friends if you want to effect us”Again. Weird.

We have a 3 year old sweet Cavalier King Charles. He started at camp Crockett when he was a little puppy. They love him and treat him so well. We have used both day camps and overnight camps and Cooper always comes back happy and always walks in with a waggy tail. Joe, the owner, is the nicest guy and we have been nothing but pleased with how they treat our family and care for our pup.

CAMP crocket is the best for boarding and day care. Our dog loves going there and playing with all the dogs.

Went through the entire application process and paid for a fecal test for both of my dogs in order to get them registered only to be told 1 hour before our Temperament test that our dogs would not be allowed at camp.I explained thoroughly on my application my rescue dogs short history of altercations and ensured that they have been through extensive training since then. This should have been discussed on our initial intake call instead of letting us know so soon before our appointment, when I was already excited to come in.No where on the application does it say that dogs will be rejected for ANY history of aggression/altercations whatsoever. I feel like this should have been added to the very first page with the registration requirements. It would have saved us time, money, and grief. This place came recommended by a friend of ours who knows our dogs and assured us that the camp was very accommodating to dogs with special care needs. We'd been getting our hopes up that our pitbull would feel at home here, but it was just a frustrating experience overall.

I am so disappointed with Camp Crockett. After boarding our dog for a week, we asked an employee about our dog and how he behaved while we were on vacation. He was really curt and standoffish and did not answer our question. Also, this is the second time that our dog has come home with fecal covering his bottom. I wouldn't even complain if they charged an extra fee and cleaned it up instead of my dog walking around covered in his own crap for a week. I would understand if it was a one time mistake, but twice? No thanks! As a customer paying a high price for dog boarding, this is absolutely unacceptable. Do better.

Joe and his family and staff ❤️ are PAWsome caretakers for my Dachshund Wally. Wally enjoys both Little Campers on 35th Ave SW and boarding at their Burien Camp and we're confident our furbaby is always in loving hands.

Yes, your dogs have to pass a behavioral test before they can stay; I appreciate that (even mildly) aggressive dogs are not welcome. Yes, you have to comply with their high vaccination protocols; I appreciate knowing that all of the dogs there are current on this and healthy. Both of these "complaints" from other reviewers work to create a safer environment for my pups. They LOVE Camp Crockett, get the best grooming in town there, and enjoy cage-free/in-home boarding. We are so thankful to have found such an outstanding place for the pups! I've toured several other play and boarding spaces, and nothing compares.

Camp Crockett has been my go to dog day care since July and I would have given it 5 stars until today.I have taken my dog to MANY dog day cares and this is the only one that has ever required a negative fecal test for my dog to be accepted. Key to note that you need a new one every 3 months.2 weeks ago I took my little one, I was told her fecal results had expired. I provided updated ones to the email provided and thought that was that. Today, she was turned away because she didn’t have updated test results. We showed the results we had submitted and we’re told that they weren’t valid because those results expired on Oct. 9The test was done on August 13th, so I don’t see how those results would have expired if the results are good for 3 months by their own admission. To top it off, the staff were quite rude to us and locked the door behind us every time we walked out. Very sad, but it looks like we will be having to find a new day care for our pup.Update: Happy to respond to the reply and inform Camp Crockett that the fecal sample was in fact done August 13th, and the email I sent them has that information. Funny that I was never told to bring a hard copy, that emailing the documentation was fine. If you want to have to submit a fecal sample repeatedly to them, more power to you. But no other day care has ever required me to do that. To say my review is dishonest instead of reaching out to rectify the problem speaks to the crux of the issue.
