“Montana and crew took special care of our family beloved 2000 Tahoe. It needed insurance claim work as well as much needed transmission work. Montana assured us that the work would be done right...and it was. Communication with us and our insurance agent was good. Glad to have Transmission Express in our community. We will be driving the Tahoe for several more years.

“Before the pandemic, I always had a hard time finding a trusty mechanic. So over the years I've learned to work on my car myself and I learned alot. But due to my new location, I don't have space or time to work on my car anymore to keep it maintained. I had to do what was best and look for a shop locally to replace my cv axel. Mr. Matsuda is the only mechanic I currently trust after mt experience! He finished in 3 hours and also re filled my AC with a fair price! The before and after photos helped ensured me to understand what parts needed to be replaced and how they looked. I appreciate that alot, not only that but he found a source of a leak (which i didnt even tell him about). I couldn't find that leak on my own time and feel so grateful he actually found it!!
I'll be back, cause I have an older subaru and to keep that thing running takes a watchful eye, open ears and maintenance.

“I've been going to Burien Japanese Auto to have my cars serviced for at least the last 20 years. I have always had nothing but good experiences there. The mechanics are top-notch. I've had all of my oil changes and 30k maintenance done. Fortunately, my cars have been reliable and I think a battery replacement is about all of the other work needed. The father of Tanner, current manager, and Dan staffed the service desk for many years. I never heard them nor Tanner and other current employees give a customer a line of bs concerning the work that needed to be done on their vehicle. These guys have always been totally honest with their customers. Recently I was there to have an oil change done on my 2019 Subaru Forester. It still has the oem Falken tires which even though they have low mileage, they are 6 1/2 years old and also have a terrible reputation among those who comment on an online Forester owners forum. I asked Tanner if it was about time to replace them due to their age and he thought it would be a good idea. He recommended Michelin tires of which I'd had a set on a 2000 Honda Accord and for many years they have been highly recommended by Consumer Reports magazine. Coincidentally, Costco has a discount coupon now and this morning online I purchased a set of Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires. Many thanks to Tanner and current staff as well as his father, Dan and previous mechanics for all of their honest and high quality service over many years. I could not recommend their shop more highly.”

“I usually go to this location for my regular oil changes. This time, I went to a nearby dealership to check my battery and get an oil change while I was there, and was quoted almost $400 for the diagnostic and change, and that it would take about 2 hours. Once I had picked my jaw up off the floor I left and took my car here, where they changed my oil in about 15 minutes and even checked my battery while I was there, all for under $100. The crew are always super friendly and genuinely helpful, big thanks to Kevin & Brian for their outstanding service!”

“Steve, Michael (his son) and his crew are the only ones I let touch my classic hotrods. Integrity and the knowledge these guys posses regarding the history of the cars and the associated way they work isn't something you can "learn", its more in what you "feel" when your pinned the back of your seat after their done. I have seen Steve take the top off a corvette carburetor (while the car was running!) and diagnose a ghost others couldn't find for a gal over years and thousands of $. She pulls up, explains, and I just watch in amazement. Ida dropped a screw into the motor. He knows he wont....... Lastly they only work on classic cars The end result, see the attached photo. Even the cop thought it was awesome....”
“I want to give a "re-up" good review for Superior Repair in Burien after I had my oil changed there this morning. We've been dealing with Superior since they did the gaskets and seals on a used Legacy we bought about 5 years ago. I am not necessarily brand loyal to Subaru but would make my next car one simply for the sake of having Superior be our mechanic. I've dealt with dealerships and other make-specific shops with other cars and the difference is clear. They're ready when they say , they're nice and helpful when you arrive and even go so far as to do things like test drive after an oil change to make sure everything's good to go. They always do a little check of the car for other issues when it's in and then clearly explain why they recommend any repairs they do. I've never felt as if they're trying to talk me into unnecessary work and they've actually talked me out of work that I thought I needed. They also are very reasonably priced and will use the most cost efficient parts that they can stand behind. If you live anywhere in the vicinity it's worth taking your Subaru to them.”
“Look no further for a trustworthy mechanic. Richard is great, easy to talk to, and has always done right by me. He takes the time to explain things so non-car savvy people can understand. He'll let you know if a pricey repair can be put off until later, and he'll tell you how to know when it's time to get it fixed. My car's old and needs some pricey repairs now and then but I feel secure knowing it's in good hands here. I'll happily be a customer for life.”

Unfortunately for me, I've had a number of repair jobs recently, big and small, and Mark and his team are the ones that I have trusted to work on all of them. Mark is extremely meticulous and always prioritizes doing a job correctly, even if that job is perhaps frustrating. Further, Mark always helps me understand what the problem is before starting on any work. As a woman, it can be hard to find a mechanic that is willing to clearly explain what needs to be fixed and why, though I always feel as if Mark has always been fully honest with me so I can make an informed decision. All in all, Mark is incredibly reasonable, professional, and clearly has a lot of experience. I'd recommend his services to anyone, hands down.”

“Got a flat on my way to the airport and limped into Legend just looking for a safe spot to make a call. To my disbelief, the manager promptly came out IN THE RAIN to tell me he saw my tire and could take care of me on the spot. As soon as I entered the office, the staff was told to fit me in ASAP, despite it being near the end of the day. They were very flexible in working with me to get just the right tire delivered just in time to change it before closing. They even caught a rotation error by my auto dealer, and corrected it! As I left, the manager came BACK OUT in the rain to ask if everything was done right. Amazing . . . I’ve never been treated so well at any auto shop, anywhere. Thank you, Legend! You’re living up to that name!”
“I love this man and his wife! Such a nice couple, he comes off a bit stern at times, but you can tell he has your best interest at heart. He's willing to go the extra mile for his customers as I brought my car in for an oil change and he unknowingly had to deal with a stripped drain plug which would greatly extend the time it usually takes to complete an oil change. He still did whatever it took to fix the problem, and he did. I'm so glad I found this little shop!”
