1/10/23 - I gave them a two star ONLY because they do have some neat items for sale there. But what can I say about my recent experience with Vintage, Flip, Consign store??? As disappointed as I am to say this, there's a good chance I will never consign anything again with this store.I finally was able to retrieve my check; no thanks to them informing me of that.I decided to consign my beautiful antique console table the first week in October. After my mother passed in September, I received some family heirloom pieces, and I had no place to put them without letting go of my console table, which was ok because I had no sentimental attachment to this console table.I decided to try online with no luck; I quickly decided, being close to my home, to use Vintage, flip, consign.Although hearing about the 60/40 split with the sixty percent being in their favor did give me qualms about using them, nonetheless, it was them or the Goodwill! They informed me to call on the 15th of each month to see if my item had sold and to pick up a check; that was no problem. The first couple of times my console table hadn't sold, Mid-December rolled around, and when I called, one of the staff members told me that there had not been a console table at their store for a very long time, I was flabbergasted and told her when I brought the table down, and I had a contract I had signed. She said she didn't know what to tell me, that perhaps I had the wrong place. OMG, what an insult that was!!! I calmly explained that I had the contract and was aware of the business with which I had consigned my table. She asked me what it looked like and if I could give her details, and then said she would take another look around and call me by the next day. That never happened. I gave a few days and called back and spoke with another person. This new person told me she had looked for my contract, that there weren't any contracts with my name, and that there wasn't a console table anywhere in the store, and there hadn't been for a long time, she would talk with another person and see if they had any information and call me right back. That didn't happen; I called and left a couple of messages; at that point, I was pretty upset, and of course, no one called me back.Holidays were here, so I tried again on December 28th, 2022; finally, someone else told me that they had found me listed with my name spelled wrong (oddly, when I checked prior month if my table had sold they had no issue finding me.) But because someone listed my name incorrectly, they had to send the check back to the accountant for correction. I was to give it a few days.Ok, a few days went by, and now it's January 2nd, 2023, and I was given yet another story, and again no one called me back.Yesterday, January 9th, 2023, I was pretty furious, but I called again, and the lady I spoke with said, "No one called you back last week??? I'm sorry about that; your check has been here."I hope other people have good luck with consigning their items with Vintage, flip, and consign, but after all of this grief I went through, I will pass on consigning with this company in the future.
