made an appointment with a female hairstylist at 10,Went there at 10 shes not waited for 15 mins she didnt come yet so i had to leave..Very inconsiderate person!!!If you cannot make it on time you should have called to let your customer knows..

My boyfriend went to Juvy for a cut and color yesterday, for his mother’s WEDDING. Not only did she forget his appointment, she was doing her friend’s hair at the same time as she was doing his hair, barely paying any attention to him. She did such a poor job that I cannot even imagine going in there for my own hair. She completely botched it. It’s spotty, messy, the cut was mediocre, and she did not listen to anything my boyfriend said about how he wanted it to look. She did this to his hair and still expected him to pay $100 for a rushed and awful job. She hyped his hair up for what? I included pictures. First time going there, really unprofessional. I would give it 0 stars.Service: Hairstyling

I called on Friday a week prior and made an apt at 10am with Juvie who claimed to be the owner of the salon. On May 28th 2021 a day before my sons 1st Birthday I came in and to my surprise there were already two people in front of me, Juvie stated that she was sorry she overbooked. Which is not too much of a problem so I waited patiently for my turn. I sat in her chair told her I wanted curtain bangs and my layers softened up... she started brushing and spraying my hair with a water bottle and after stating I wanted a wash as well she said "no problem but I will charge you $50," to which I had no problem paying. She cut my hair and seemed professional at that time. After cutting my hair she blew it dry in a downward angle so I could not see my face and then pulled it half up and she curled started curling my hair. I did not ask for a curl but was happy to feel pampered. She then told me not to wash it because the curls will stay for my sons party. I was happy, and at the cash register she said I will charge 60 okay, I said yes and also payed her a 10 dollar tip. Later the next day my curls were pretty flat but it was still pretty wavy, it was around that time I noticed how short the top layer of my hair was. After my sons party I washed my hair and it was then I noticed how choppy she had cut my hair. The layers were thick and uneven even the bangs were uneven. I called the following day, so that she could fix the mistakes, she agreed to see me that following Thursday at 10am after I asked her why she couldn't see me later in the evenings she stated she didn't work pasted 4 because she had another job though he webpage hours and hours on her door state she is open till 6pm her open days. I agreed but later realized I had no one to watch my kids, I called and emailed her that I need something later and she said Wednesday at 10am I said " fine but my kids( age 3-1) have to come. She said no problem. Wednesday morning I show up with my 2 boys at her shop and she meets me at the door with a "hi", I start to show her the issues I had with the cut she gave me and to my Surprise tells me she can't do anything for me! I say wait what! I can't wear my hair up or down and she says I can trim the bottom! I got very upset at that point and said if you cant fix it I want a refund. She then told me " I will give you half back, which is 25 dollars". At that point I told her, I payed 70 dollars and I wanted a full refund minus the tip. She got up out of her chair, started freaking out at me that she will give me my money back but to get out of here! She then yelled at me in front of my young children, "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SHOP"! I was at that point furious, she messed my hair up and after giving her the opportunity to correct her mistake she chose to curse me out in front of my children. I immediately started walking out after stating I will post my photos and my opinion online and then she yelled more at me and told me she was "REPORTING ME". Like really? I am so happy to have found Juvie. She gave me exactly the cut I asked for. She was quick too! I was in and out in no time. She's being careful about COVID-19 protocols which I really appreciated. I will definitely go back to her again.

I'm so glad I found Juvie. She was able to get me in for an appointment right away. I was in and out in 15 minutes with an inexpensive haircut that was exactly what I asked for. She's being very cautious about COVID-19 safety which I appreciated very much. LOVE this salon and will be back!

I almost don't want to leave this review because I want to keep this salon all to myself. But, I thought it was time for an updated review. I learned about this salon through word of mouth. I was not disappointed. Juvy, the owner, is very personable and accommodating. I called for an appointment and she got me in the next morning. I brought my 2-year old with me and she was really sweet with him and helped him feel at ease, too. I love the family-feel of this place. The haircuts are extremely affordable starting at $20. I got a trim my first haircut and then cut it all off for an asymmetrical bob for the second. She takes her time with you to get exactly what you want.

I would recommend Shear Elegance and Juvy if you are looking for an excellent cut along with personalized service. Two thumbs up!
