Olympic Family Practice and Nurse Wilcox have failed my newborn. Im so into the idea of a family practice, my whole family has established care there. I was very excited to bring my infant to the practice.Repeatedly, though- they have failed him. He was seen 2x a week for his first month of life. He is my 2nd child, so I KNEW something was wrong. He cried excessively and had a whole list of problems I needed help with.Nurse Practitioner Wilcox refused to prescribe reflux medication the first time I asked for it. We discussed the multiple feeding issues we had. My son physically cannot breastfeed, chokes and sputters at bottles. She clipped his tongue due to a particularly bad tongue tie. Ive now learned at 3 months old that she did it incorrectly and he still has very little posterior tongue movement. At his 2 month appointment, the medical assistants didnt know how to vaccinate him while I breastfed for comfort. A totally normal practice for babies.I had to request a referral to ENT, GI and feeding therapy with an SLP. This should have immediately been her recommendation/course of action once it was out of her scope.Knowing now what I do about my 3month old sons health- I imagine he could have had a better life those first 6 weeks, had I known to get him to a professional. I trusted this practice. And they failed my newborn time and time again.I will be taking my non-complex 7yo to another office as well.Olympic Family Practice has no business seeing children.

Changing doctors is never easy. I feel like Olympic Family Practice made this a very stress free process. They genuinely cared about my medical needs and made me feel very comfortable with the change. Just a great medical and administrative staff. If your new to the area I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Caulkins is kind and thoughtful. He takes the time to answer all questions and to explain what he is thinking, cheerily. Even getting to know you as a person. He is the standard of good care.

Recently was dealing with a sickness and had to see Sheri Zumdeik at this clinic. I went first one day, she requested a follow up the next day and ordered a scan/ultrasound. She never ever notified me of the results, I had to check my own chart and try to interpret it. There were several findings on the ultrasound, which I had to Google and seemed to be pretty serious. After calling the office multiple times to see if my results were received, I was told by the receptionist I had to make ANOTHER appointment (and co-pay mind you) to get the results. On my fourth trip, I went in, waited an ungodly amount of time WAY past my scheduled appointment time - just to find out there was "nothing of concern" and have a 1 minute conversation. Ridiculous. I have since been to a new doctor who I sent the results and they explained the severity. I am now set for a colonoscopy and on medication for what Sheri found "nothing of concern."Additionally, I had my blood drawn in office twice with several things coming back as "high" which was again disregarded by Sheri and told that it was nothing to be concerned about. I feel she has no desire to get to the root of a patients problem and only wants $$$. I would NOT recommend.

Everyone is very friendly. I can usually see a nurse practitioner same day or next day. I have been going here for years and I would be so sad if they decide to retire and close.

I have been a patient here since I was 14 years old. I am not a mother of 5 and he is still our primary care provider. I couldn’t imagine being seen by any other office. Love our health care family! Highly recommend. These people listen and take great care of you.

I'm going to start by saying that Dr. Caulkins is wonderful. He is knowledgeable, caring, and kind. If this review was for just him, it would be a solid 5 stars. Unfortunately, getting in to see him is hard. More often than not you will get scheduled with a Nurse Practitioner and while the NP's are very nice and know what they are doing on the basics, if you have a question beyond the very basics, they will say you need to schedule another visit. So in the end, you leave without a definite answer and to get a definite answer you end up paying for two visits plus use up even more of your time. Unfortunately, I have begun looking for a new doctor because of these practices. I do not have the time, or wish to spend the money, for two visits to get an answer for any medical issues I have.

Our Primary is Dr Caulkins. He pays attention to our needs and gives great care for his patients. When I was in the hospital last year for 2 weeks, he even paid me a visit.... that's how much he cares for his patients. That's a plus.

My sister is lucky to be alive after seeing Dr Wu. She saw him twice, begged for help and his diagnosis? She was fat and needed to lose weight. She came home and was sicker. Went back scared because she was so sick and he did nothing. I rushed her to Capital med ctr and Drs immediately knew how ill she was. Her kidneys had failed and liver wasn’t working. And her fat? Was 7 LITERS of fluid that was drained from abdomen!! She could and would have died at Olympic Physicians! Government needs to step in again
