Don't ever bring your animal here! I had the dr.triek dude and HE IS NOT GOOD AT ALL. He came back to not only tell me "this is not a good dog" but gave me my dog back with her leash so tight her tongue was sticking out. Mind you, I called ahead to say my dog has aggression with vets, should I give her some medication before the appointment? They go "no no we can handle dogs that are aggressive we'll just take her through the back" $345 later just to be told my dog is bad and that I have a "bill in the front waiting for me". This was my LAST visit. Then he proceeds to be snotty and tell me "well go find another vet that can handle her" SHOOOT GLADLY WILL BC I HAVE AND THEY KNOW HOW TO HANDLE MY DOG. If you have a dog that has bad anxiety and struggles with vets NEVER I MEAN NEVER TAKE THEM HERE. They're overpriced and ridiculous. The only thing I have empathy left for was the sweet two front office ladies that helped calm me down and explained that Dr.Yiek doesn't handle dogs very kindly and he's very aggressive with dealing with them. I don't write reviews at all but this one needed to be said. My dog is now traumatized AGAIN bc Dr. Yiek thinks he knows what he's doing but HE DOESNT.

I would not recommend this vet. He is just hard to deal with, and I experience him as defensive when I'm asking questions to glean information so I can make the best decision for my dog's medical care. Additionally, I have a friend who is a highly respected professional in her field who also was yelled at by this vet so believe the negative reviews.

We went to Alder Trail from 1995 to 2017 when we moved. Dr. Yeik started off taking care of our hamsters and later our dogs. He was never unkind or unfriendly. When we had to put our basset hound to sleep in 2012, the staff in that office were the kindest, compassionate people I've ever met.

Please read this review before you schedule with Dr. Yeik!!!I have been bringing my chihuahua to this vet for years. Simple vaccinations and annual check ups. The care was decent and did the job. Dr Yeik is difficult to follow when he speaks and I often left confused.Over a year ago, I brought my 10 year old pup in to see him for a cough she had been experiencing. He did x-rays and simply stated she had chronic bronchitis and will likely need steroids the rest of her life. He did not do labs or any further diagnostic testing. I brought her back again, months later with the same symptoms—I got the same feedback and medication regimen.on Friday, I got home from work and my baby was breathing heavily and hard. She couldn’t catch her breath. I called Dr Yeiks office—they instructed me to bring her into the ER vet in Poulsbo. I asked them to send her records to the ER vet.She was in critical condition. Her pulse ox was a 76 (at minimum should be 93-100). The vet explained that without any diagnostic labs he can assume she had a heart murmur, heart disease and possible other organ failure. He advised me this would have been detectable on a xray a year ago. It was indicated that this was a miss from my vet and the xray was likely so outdated (old equipment) that the vet wouldn’t be able to tell her heart was twice the size as it should be. They also stated Dr. Yeiks notes were not able to be understood and seemed to not make sense.I had to make the devastating decision to put my baby down. this was the most painful thing i’ve ever been through—knowing this could have been caught a year ago.No follow up call from Dr Yeiks office. Nothing.I would not recommend this hospital. I am heart broken and I can’t get my dog back.

We love this vet. It’s all about the animals. No frills, and no unneeded overhead. Thank you again for helping us with our dog Chai over all her years. We miss her and are still grateful for your care.

Will never be going back to this vet. I was told you worked on my guinea pig and dislodged whatever was in her throat and causing her to not eat. You even reassured me and told me "I even fed her a couple times already". Giving me hope everything was okay because you said she was now eating. After I got home she was still acting the same just sedated and high on medication. I tried to syringe feed her and care for her until she finally just died in front of me and there was nothing I could do. I feel like I was lied to. I feel like nothing was actually done. I feel like you used us for the money and lied to us and sent us on our way. My poor baby should have been properly cared for and if there truly was nothing that could be done then I should have been told that. I could have put her down in a humane way. so I didn't have to watch her suffer.

They did nothing for my dog's wound. Said it was hematoma but now it's progressed and gotten worse and turned out to be cancer. Did no kind of test for him; just gave him a shot and sent him on his way. NOT recommended. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Dr Yiek was never rude to me or my animals, but I did hear him yelling and cursing very loudly at another patient next door and that made us feel pretty uneasy. Ultimately we decided to switch to another vet.

Dr.Yike is a true piece of garbage. Do not go to him or this vet. I went to him 7 years ago and still think to this day about how absolutely trash this place was.

We have been taking our dog to them since we adopted our dog from the shelter six years ago. The doctor and staff are helpful and nice.He recently had to have 4 teeth removed and they were very helpful and the doctor explained everything we asked.

We've been using Alder Trail for nearly a decade, and I can't recommend them highly enough. The entire staff has always been super friendly, helpful, and compassionate. Their prices are on par for the county and the veterinarians really know what they're doing. Dr. Yeik was extremely kind and caring when our little girl, Chloe was suffering through cancer. He didn't lie to us and give us false hope, he did everything he could to keep her comfortable for her last few months and I could never thank him enough for that.

Kind and knowledgeable! They've cared for each of our last three dogs, and are currently taking care of our puppy. They've been helpful and compassionate through each dog's passing, and have helped us through numerous maladies. I would highly recommend them.

My daughter brought her beloved best friend in for care. He was fine until he wasn't, and as soon as she saw that he needed help, she took him in. Dr Yiek was rude and basically told her that she was at fault for his condition. He had diabetes and pancreatitis. She didn't know this at all, because he exhibited zero symptoms until he got sick. When I arrived at the hospital to support my daughter, she had already come to terms with the fact that it was time to let him go. He's an older kitty, probably about 14 years old and she rescued him 10 years ago. The doctor said he would need twice daily insulin injections, which my daughter can't perform because she lives alone and has severe arthritis in her hands. He also quoted $2,000 for the procedure to help him through the night and $150 a month for the insulin. All those factors helped her come to the terrible decision to let him go. Once she decided to let him go, we informed the doctor. He came back in a few minutes later and said... well, there's a new medication that is in pill form and was $100 a month. I asked him how much the procedure would be to bring his glucose down. He said about 6-800. So, that gave us hope and was something that while still expensive, we could figure out a way to do. My daughter has limited income and we told the doctor that, but I could put it on my care credit card. Well, it was actually $1100 and another $100 for the pills, then they gave him $54 ear drops to stimulate his appetite. So we went from about $700 to almost $1300. She brought him home in the afternoon after the procedure, and at 5:00 in the morning, he passed away. Dr YIKES was rude when she went back in to ask for a reduction in the bill and to at least refund the pills since he didn't live long enough to take any, and he told her that he never gave her hope that the procedure would help her sweet kitty. They did give her the money for the pills back at least. Overall a very rude person, who takes advantage of grieving people. Shame on him for what he put my daughter through. I have convinced her to take her kitten to my vet in Gorst, where my cats are seen because they have compassion and actually care about animals. This guy needs to retire.
