We came to the U.S. just before the pandemic and my son started kindergarten at UCIC and enjoyed his first year. Thank you so much Ms. Steward! So I'm sending my daughter back to kindergarten at UCIC now too.

This is an excellent school! My kids are very excited to go to school every morning and I am very impressed with the Pre-K curriculum which includes art, science and sports. The teachers are also very kind and caring and organize lots of different activities. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this school. My toddler loves all her teachers. They communicate very well in writing and verbally regarding all the daily activities, foods she eats, and social interactions she has. As a parent, I feel assured that my girl is in a safe and nurturing environment.

UCIC has had an incredible impact on my child's educational journey. The teachers at the school have been remarkably supportive and go above and beyond by offering tutoring sessions after school. The transformation in my child's attitude towards subjects like reading, math, science, and others has been nothing short of remarkable. The carefully crafted homework assignments have played a significant role in enhancing my child's overall academic progress. We consider ourselves truly fortunate to have the opportunity for our child to attend such a wonderful school.

Absolutely amazing school and community! Such intentional staff and teachers. So many amazing electives: Spanish, Computer, Art, Music, PE, & Social and Emotional Learning. They offer tutoring and counseling for students who need it. UCiC also has a tutoring center for kids who need more tutoring than the free provided tutoring with their teacher. Both are amazing resources.Love that they provide before & after school care 6am-6pm and clubs for kids to join to learn new skills and be creative. Also super fun that they do seasonal team sports teams for all the elementary age kids. Definitely hilarious to watch kindergarten play Basketball, indoor hockey & soccer.Their early learning program is also phenomenal! I've never seen an early learning center have so many electives for Preschool & Pre-K (they get the same electives as the elementary kids!!!).Both programs get chapel once a week. Their playground and cute wooded area provides kids the opportunity to play in nature and the freedom to explore and truly be kids! I absolutely love that for the kids.Highly recommend UCiC to any family. UCiC staff are so loving and accepting to ALL cultures and backgrounds. Truly is such a safe environment for kids to thrive and grow. Really feel like the school celebrates all the families and are very intentional to create close relationships with the families and parents. I love that they really invite the parents to be involved as much as they would like.If this sounds like a good fit for your family reach out to the school/ Principal. The Principal is so amazing and she'll take you on a tour of the school and talk with you about the educational needs of your child.

Cons:Horrible staffInefficient and rude administration Toddler staff Claims to have 10+ years of experience but we find it hard to believeExpensive (not worth the money)Pros:School facilityFlexibility of drop-off pick up hoursOur experience: We have a 3 year old toddler. After 6 weeks (Aug - Sept 2022) of horrible and painful experience with this school and their staff, we finally decided to take our son out of this facility for his betterment. And we are so glad we did it. Since Sept 2022, he has been in his current preschool and he is super excited to go there everyday. Has started drawing/learning/arts, is super happy and back being himself everyday. We wanted to observe for few months if it was our son or UCIC school that led to the experience we had in Aug - Sept and hence this late review. To summarize, our 3 year old toddler is our second kid and we could not enroll him to out elder daughter's preschool as they only take potty trained kids. UCIC had great reviews online and hence the decision to enroll him to this school.Since 1st week, our son was scared to go to this school. He would cry continuously, from waking him up for school till he was dropped at the school. He would come home cranky and would not be himself post school, mostly timid and upset. Initially, we thought this was regular toddler situation where he needs time in getting used to going to preschool. But things continued to go south each day, and often he would be shivering to get into the car to go to school. His pediatrician was also surprised to hear about his behavior. We certainly were concerned and hence met the director (Amy) multiple times. This is where it became really evident that this was the wrong school for our little one.Director (Amy) in our first meet up mentioned that both teachers are female and he only feels comfortable with a male teacher around him. Her exact words and I quote: "he needs to respect females". This was her statement for a 3 year old toddler, felt weird to hear but we ignored it. Since he is very fond of his father, we had to explain to her that he might be looking for his father 's comfort in the male teacher and this probably should not be interpreted as disrespecting females. She promised that we (her and us as parents) will work to get things on track.Fast forward a week, and we came to know a family had the same issue with their toddler (with same teachers) and once they switched classes , their toddler was back being happy. we requested to change our son's class, but they said there were no other openings. Week 4. I am highlighting Amy's response to one of my email where the words that she used for our son was just not acceptable and we finally decided to just move him out of this school. Also, as part of the toddler program, UCIC promises to provide daily report card in terms of poo/pee, sleep and eating schedule. In 6 weeks, we received just 1 such daily report. The only response we got from the teachers was that our son would just continue to cry daily and not participate in anything and they cannot do anything as he dislikes us.Stay away from this school if you can. If your kid is not happy, in case you have enrolled here, don't ignore any red flags. We are glad we are not dealing with them anymore. Hope this helps!

Absolutely not good for small kids who are less than 5 yrs. My toddler was going to this school, and they were very careless. Many a time I found them on phone while kids are around or playing, I count this as biggest risk (more than texting and driving. My kido was started falling sick after first month. I don't think it hygiene problem, but she will remain hungry for whole day. Puke almost every day after the first month. I felt the fear on her face while going to this school. I not saying other kids are scared too, but my kid was.My older kids used to go there, and she was 5+ when started, and she loved it there. For the new kids they don't do anything special to feel comfortable, if kid adjust then fine else it brutal.

I’ve had two children attend here grades prek-2nd. We are sad to leave the school but are moving out of state. Small class sizes means your child receives lots of one on one attention. The specialist teachers are absolutely fantastic. All teachers are very communicative. We will miss this sweet school.

I would give them "ZERO" stars if I could. Please do not enroll your child in this money driven business model in the name of school where teachers are also not greatly appreciated from management is what I can confirm based on my first handed experience. This school has a policy of "Drop off after 10 requires 24 hours' notice" - It is good to have a policy as school and teacher will have hard time scrambling if kids are coming in and out at their convenience. I am not against the policy BUT every parents out there please Tell me if it is always possible to "Predict" that late drop off beforehand? Dr's appointment/ other prior commitment can be predicted but your poor child had a rough night or woke up late than usual or had a fussy morning for any "XYZ" reason - Forget 24 hours you can't even give 1 hour notice. If you truly care about your students and their families you UCIC should make an exception but they don't -WHY? They let teacher go on their " Emergency Doctor Appt" based on my child is not going to show up for the day. I am surprised with the fact that if I had brought in my child then poor teacher probably won't have been allowed to go to her appt ? This is POOR MANAGEMENT , They can't figure out their staffing, sub, ratios etc and those repercussions are being faced by the students and their families. Luckily, for me I can stay home with my child but I can't imagine how much of an inconvenience this might and will cause for the parents who can't. I very regret moving my child from Kiddie Academy in Bothell to UCIC. I never had a single situation like this with Kiddie Academy of Bothell in 7 years of my experience combined between both my kids.UCIC, if you expect parents and students to gladly oblige to your rules and policies have some courtesy to make an exception in such dire circumstances where situations are not in the hands of parents. I have never written this long review ever, but this situation was very frustrating is an understatement.

Love this school and their teachers. Both my kids go there. The teachers are both ruthless when it comes to cultivating good habits, attitudes and manners. At the same time, they make going to school so much fun, and meaningful and educational. For the price this place charges, they have offered my family so much more.

Going downhill.. It was a good school.. New Principal & new management killing it.. Money is only motive. Only non-performer teacher left, good ones already gone.

I have 2 children that go to this school. They are well loved, and come home telling me so many things that they have learned. The teachers send me messages, pictures, and emails on a weekly and sometimes dailey basis. My children love thier chapel they have every Thursday. My son is 4 and has computer classes, art, and a science teacher. I am a busy mom, and sometimes it's hard to get my daughters hair done. When I come to pick her up and her hair is all done up in braids it makes me feel good knowing that she is loved. This is an outstanding school with loving and educated teachers.
