Great place in our community, also love that they have before and after school care in the area at elementary schools. Good place for kids to work out and play sports!

Most of the staff are wonderful, but definitely some lazy / probably racist workers. Especially one in the kid's corner named Kristine. Super rude and rough with young children and always finding excuses to kick them out of the corner early. Seriously, it's the Y, if you hate your job / clientele, maybe try getting a job at the DMV or something.

I have never given a negative review until now. My son has been attending the YMCA at the North Shore location for a year, where he's been learning swimming with excellent instructors. However, I've encountered issues with the reception staff. While they are friendly during registration, they display a different attitude when it comes to changes or cancellations.Recently, we signed up for classes in the last two weeks of August, but upon arriving at the North Shore location, I was informed that the classes had been moved to Cottage Lake. This resulted in a two-hour round trip between North Shore and Cottage Lake. Despite the inconvenience, the North Shore reception staff neither apologized nor empathized with the situation. They repeatedly mentioned an email they claimed to have sent, but I hadn't received it. I showed them my emails, and even after searching by name, they still couldn't find it.Furthermore, they mentioned you might deleted that email , while the first person asserted that even deleted emails would appear in the search results. It's hard to believe that they refused to trust my words and attempted to make me feel guilty. Despite everything that happened, their actions, including moving my keys and their facial expressions, displayed a consistent rudeness towards me.Eventually, they refunded the class fees. It wasn't until my husband spoke to them ,than they apologized, revealing they had sent a reminder email for North Shore the day before. This incident has left me appalled by their treatment of customers. As a result, I have decided not to return to the YMCA. It's the first time in my life that I've been treated this way.

I would say YMCA camp is the worst experience in all my summer camp. the staff working there are so mean and impatient. It give me such a bad experience not only on my life but also on my emotion.

In mid January I booked the Easter Egg Plunge at North Shore YMCA for my 11 year old daughter from 10 am to 11:30 am. There was another available at 8 am for reservation, but we booked 10 am. We were so excited to book this. I put it on my calendar right away. We spoke about it for months. Well, we showed up this morning at 9:50 and found out it was rescheduled for 1:15 and 3:15. We has plans for 1 pm. We thought maybe we could make 3:15. Nope. We can’t. My daughter is crying and upset. This was the only Easter activity I booked her, and you failed to communicate any changes in the schedule. I am bummed and disappointed in your facility. I’ve never experienced this at any other locations. We also wasted our gas driving from south Bellevue.I just hate seeing my kid upset. This was really unprofessional and unnecessary.

Family section is a bit or miss. Weird hours and some staff seem like they don't want to be there.

The facility itself is well maintained. Most of the gym goers are nice folks. However, the kind of subtle racism against non-White members were felt every time I stepped foot onto this campus. The Kids' Corner staff are impatient and not friendly toward families who just recently joined. They neglect young toddlers who are having a rough time adjusting. Instead of helping with transition, they tend to kids who are clearly fine playing on their own. This has happened a handful of time since I joined.

I would like to write a note about Salee at the Kids’ Corner. She is absolutely calming and patient. My kid is new to the facility and she took the time to make sure he is comfortable. It took a while for my kid to calm down but he eventually did.

I love the Northshore Y! Great staff, great classes, and very clean! When my kids were young, they LOVE the childcare play areas, and I LOVED the time I could take for myself ? I've met so many great people and made some life long friends. I always recommend NSY to friends and family. It is truly a place for everyone!

Love the YMCA and everything they offer, the free weights, the cardio room, and the multiple courts. Staff are all very friendly and remember members' names too which is always nice.

Would like to see more (organized) activities for teens other than the gym/weight lifting room.
