* Arrival/pick up times are not flexible at all. You MUST drop by 9:15am and if you go beyond pickup time, you are charged by the minute!* Nobody, I mean NOBODY, would say Hi, leave aside a "good morning" to you or your child at drop off. The fact that kids are not acknowledged into the classroom in the morning in not something I find appropriate.* Teachers would rush parents to drop their kids off. If it's taking a bit longer, they would not attempt to help, instead, they would close the door in your face, so you don't bother the classroom.* No food provided (at this price tag...).* Communication is below expectations. You have no visibility as to what your child did in the day, apart from a group picture you may/may not get at the end of the day, along with a generic text. On top of that, reaching out to the manager by phone is quite difficult.* Teachers seem to be too stressed out. You can hear them complaining about kids.* I've witnessed situations where teachers were not being nice to kids. Surprised they didn't even care I was there collecting my daughter. They would grab them by their arms, so they won't keep running.* They promoted an "Assistant teacher" to "Primary Teacher" a month into the school year, simply because the primary teacher extended her maternity leave. This teacher has gotten bad reviews from other parents, including myself, before even being promoted.* Lastly, the Manager will not acknowledge my observations/complaints. I sent extensive feedback, clarifying all these items above, but nobody reached out to me. When emailed the manager letting her know we were taking our child out of the school, it took her a week to respond with a goodbye msg. She would not facilitate ways to reach out to people higher in management.** this applies to Evergreen Acadamy Montessori Bothell, School Year 2021-2022.

We had awful experience with this Pre-school in 2021-2022 school year. My kid didn’t speak English and wasn’t familiar with the new routine - they were fully aware. They told me they had experience how to handle this. In reality - my kid cried and screamed every morning for 2 months during drop off, he didn’t want to go and stay there and my heart was broken every morning when I saw the teacher checking in kids with her device instead of comforting, engaging and calming my kid.I sent emails to the teacher. A Citation from the teacher’s letter: He tired himself out from crying. I think I should have dropped this school after this email. Indifference to the kid and total mess should be the name of this school. There was a constant mess with the communication from them, or absence of communication when it was needed. The kid’s daily report is very poor.Staff turnover started in September and it’s still going on! My kid was frustrated about changing teachers every other week and moving to different classes in after care. The last drop is the tuition increase in the middle of the school year! We paid the whole tuition for 2021-2022 school year with the idea to fix the price. The principal told me that we still need to pay. They need to cover teachers’ professional development. I don’t see the impact or value for my kid from this. Why should I pay???Needless to say that we are not going to renew our contract for the Kindergarten. It’s enough for us.If you can afford the private school, I will recommend to choose another school and a better usage for your $1,600 dollars per month.

I’ve worked at Evergreen Academy for seven years now. It is the most supportive, fun and academically challenging place I’ve ever worked. Families and staff alike work in partnership to ensure an outstanding learning experience for our amazing students!

Evergreen Academy Preschool in Bothell is a wonderful school. My child attended Preschool, Pre-K, and kindergarten but unfortunately we had to move so we could no longer attend. Throughout our time we came across dedicated teachers and knowledgeable administration. The overall atmosphere feels like home. We always felt included from our morning greeting to the evening pickup. If you are looking for care in the Bothell/Kirkland area, Evergreen is a solid choice.

Sep and Oct 2019 were tough for our family after my kid being in this school. We think the culture of this school is without love and not willing to help non-English speaker kids to get used to the preschool life. Anything happens they called parents to pick up the kids. I think they only like 4-5 years old with native English speaking kids being there and can not have emotions. Asking a 3 years old kid to control his temper as well as 5 years old kid is a joke. The leader of this schools should reconsider if anything wrong with your management culture for taking care of the preschool kids. If your kids are not native English speakers and around 3 years old, don't consider this school. There are many good preschool in Kirkland, Bellevue, Kenmore and Redmond. Driving a litter far away for a better preschool and avoid this one if you are the same situation. I still think they are also many good teachers in this school but not for the class my son being in.

Don't get caught my the Trespassing Tracy. She will take the time to yell at you about calling the police through an open window. You will have to restart the level at the beginning and you will never get to Princess Zelda.

It is the worst school ever. I wish I could give it negative star. My son had a head injury in there play ground and there was nobody who helped him there after the fall, neither they called us. 3 teachers should have been there on duty but none of them were there. He came home with a broken tooth , jaw injury and a concussion. He is not the same happy kid anymore. He is so scared and emotional now due to this trauma and is sensitive to loud sounds and bright lights. He has lost his confidence. His balance also got affected , he still can eat properly due to jaw injury. I wish I had not sent him there. I cannot trust them with the lives of small children, because they are not doing there job to take care of kids. Also there is no accountability for teachers, who failed to keep my child safe. Principal is also more concerned about her teachers and not children. I would not recommend this school to anybody.

We have had a good experience here. Good curriculum for preschoolers. Nice staff. Good facilities. Teachers we dealt with are caring and seem to know how to treat kids. Streamlined process in terms of payment and communications. Very few surprises overall.

The staff and teachers at Evergreen Academy have been really helpful in working with us as both our girls joined Evergreen this year. The older one had attended last year which also worked out well for us. We were trying to figure out how to get the older one in pre-K and the younger one in mixed age class. We were originally unsure since they only had mixed age option, but both the girls did really well in Ms. Jackie's class. She is a fantastic teacher. We hit some bumps in the road with the younger one since she just turned 3 when we started, but Ms. Jackie was very helpful and professional in working with us through it. It was nice to see the older one got to do a lot activities she enjoyed even though she was in mixed-age in Ms. Jackie's class. We had a great experience!

Evergreen Academy offers an incredible Montessori preschool program. The teachers are patient, kind, and passionate about what they do. Students are taught to be independent thinkers and respectful world citizens along with being well prepared socially and academically. The school campus is conveniently nestled in Bothell near Kirkland and Woodinville with easy access to 405, but is tucked away so you don't feel like you are close to the highway. I highly recommend this school - it is truly a unique learning community!

Fantastic preschool. Ms. Kimber and Ms. Jade have been fantastic. They are consistent, patient, and help the children build self confidence and self reliance. I’m really grateful we made this choice. Can’t wait to see what their pre-k program brings us next year!

I am writing for the elementary school. Our son, who is now in fifth grade, has severe anxiety and did poorly in his overcrowded old public school. We pulled him out of his old school because he had refused to go. Evergreen Academy Bothell was the best decision we've ever made for him. His teacher, Ms Amy Morey, an award-winning teacher, is not only highly competent, but she is also caring and passionate about her job. During PT conferences, she would not only give us a detailed account of how our son was doing overall, but was also able to give us helpful book recommendations about anxiety. I appreciate her knowledge about the most recent research findings on anxiety in the classroom, because as a parent, this enables me to help my son at home. Ms Ball, also an award-winning professional in education (principal), is an exemplary leader of the school. Parent-teacher conferences, student reporting and the curriculum are all customized to our child's needs. It's not surprising to learn that our son is THRIVING at Evergreen. He is making strides academically and socially. It's most rewarding to learn how our son just LOVES school now! Fifth grade is an academic transition into middle school, one that is challenging for many kids. We are happy that Evergreen Academy is making this transition so much easier for our son. It's just a shame that Evergreen Academy Bothell does not go up until middle school. Otherwise, we would definitely enroll our son here.
