We've taken out family's pets here for many years, but last time, the vet was so unkind about a misunderstanding that lead me giving my cats the "incorrect" diet for IBD and she told me that I was killing my cats, her actual words; even if it's true, her attitude around it and the way she talked to me was unacceptable. My new vet fought for weeks to get the paperwork from Canyon Park, and when they finally did, it said "No signs of IBD," so seems like there wasn't even an issue in the first place and they were upset I didn't start purchasing the food they sell there, but I really hope that's not the case. I waited to write this review for almost a year to make sure that I wasn't dragging this place if they were correct, but my cats have been happy and healthy since, without another diet change, and my new vet is knowledgeable and kind.

We have had an amazing experience with the front desk staff, Misty (epic!) and the doctors. Our boy has been well cared for and he has an extra step in his walk, even acts a bit cheeky since they improved his health. We thought we were stellar fur parents and the staff here made simple recommendations that improved his well-being. They are careful to consider your pocket book and make everything simple! Misty is amazing! Dr. McKee is great with the animals, has a calm, kind demeanor and will take time to laugh with you. I appreciate her. Dr. Vaugh is more serious and I like her also because she explains everything, is careful of cost and is detailed. Depending on your style, there is someone here that will make you feel your fur child is well cared for. I LOVE that the front desk brings their fur kids to work. The place is small and they keep it organized and they love the animals - there is zero doubt they care 100%. They go the extra mile for your pet.

I agree with the other reviewers. If this rating was just on Dr. Vaughn it would be a negative 1. That woman is terrible. Yelled, screamed, told me I WAS RUDE. What? Anyway Dr. McGee (I believe is spelling?) is great. Sweet to my animal, explains things well and I only continue to go to this vet because of her. If you are going to this vet clinic or are going to go I recommend her. Just stay away from that Dr. Vaughn,

My dog and I have been going to this vet clinic for the last 2+ years. At first, the staff seemed somewhat friendly but the reception into the building was always indifferent and unfriendly. Dr. P was okay for the first visit, but a visit last year for a check of my dog's foot gave us a different vet, Dr. M. I was not pleased with her lack of rapport with both my dog and me and he appeared to be afraid of her and she didn't seem to care about that. Not good. I took him in for a routine vaccine in early January 2024. What could go wrong!! Ha! Got the usual grumpy reception and my dog was scared and I was trying to reassure him with treats I had brought and smiling at him and petting him. In the exam room he was whimpering. Dr, M walked in and the 1st thing she said was "Do I have to put a muzzle on him?" No greeting, no smile. I reminded her that he had never bitten anyone and he wasn't growling! She seemed sullen to me. She asked me a few questions. She told me to get him up on the table (slippery, no mat! ) I told her I would need help; could she call someone in. (My dog weighs 32 pounds!) She said no-one was available! (I am almost 80 yrs old and have back and hip issues that I had previously made the staff aware of). She gave me minimal assistance lifting him. Then, without warning to me, she grabbed his upper mouth and jammed something into his mouth! It was a liquid, I was expecting a shot! Then she did the worst thing possible. She said "GET him DOWN"!! Command words for a well-trained dog. Luckily I was standing in front of him and when he dove off the table I was able to cradle his head and neck and break his fall. But, we both fell to the floor and my dog yelped! My right arm had dragged down across the table and it was badly bruised. She made no attempt to help us and just LEFT THE ROOM! Both my dog and I were traumatized by this incident. When we left, I knew we deserved a lot better than this and that I would never put my beloved dog through that again! It should not happen to anyone else, either! Keep your dog safe and happy.

We have been taking our pets here for 10+ years. The staff and vets are great and have always provided excellent care. I think their prices are reasonable. They also have boarding available which our dogs have enjoyed.

The staff is pretty friendly for the most part! This is definitely one of the more affordable places to take your pet. Have been taking our dogs there for over 10 years.

My experience has been the opposite of the one-star reviews here. I had been going to another vet in Bothell and really liked them. I started going here to board my dogs, and after several years of going between one vet that I really liked, to Canyon Park, I finally committed to this one so their shots could coincide with their boarding. The first time I came, I read the reviews and braced myself for an unpleasant encounter. Dr. Vaughn's first visit with my dog lasted 25 minutes, much longer than the 15 minute exam my other vet took (who I still like a lot.) . Dr. Vaughn took her time examining my dog, explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and gave me advice on the breed and my own dog. She was pleasant to me and gentle with my dog. With her extreme knowledge and detailed answers to my questions, I felt like I was going to a specialist but paying for a regular vet exam. My second experience was when I thought my dog was choking. (turns out she had a reverse sneeze, but I'd never heard of it before. ) I rushed her to Canyon park without an appointment. Because they are so concerned about kennel cough, they told me to wait outside. The doctor came out within 10 minutes in full scrubs (in case it was kennel cough, to protect other dogs. Because I had poked my head in to let them know I was here, the staff disinfected the entire front room, including the door, just in case.) Dr. Vaughn came out, examined her thoroughly, and said she appeared fine, then educated me about kennel cough sounds. She was right in her diagnosis. The price for the emergency visit? No charge. When we moved to Woodinville, I went to another vet for convenience. They upsold me on several things for three of my dogs. But the 4th one, they found a very dangerous mass cell tumor that needed to removed asap, and that they could schedule me for 6 weeks out. I called Canyon Park the next morning, and they fit me in as an emergency visit that day. Dr. Vaughn confirmed the diagnosis and though the place is extremely busy, they scheduled her for surgery within 3 days. Eight months post Covid, my other vet was still requiring that the owners stay outside and the exam be conducted by the doctor only. The information I got when the doctor came out? "She's fine." I then took my other dog for an exam with Dr. Vaughn. I was let into the room, and again, given 25 minutes for a detailed exam of my dog and a detailed explanation of the results. That was when I finally stopped with the other vet for good. I know...it took a while. The most recent visit I took my dog for a regular exam, and told her that my 10-year-old dog was slowing down significantly, that she couldn't get upstairs and was slowing down on walks. I expected her to say that this was expected for her age. Instead she examined her and found a back injury. She suggested immediate bed rest (keep in kennel for 3-5 days, restricted movement) and gave me steroids and muscle relaxers. She recommended delaying her expensive teeth cleaning coming up. Instead of trying to upsell me on xrays or an mri, she highly recommended this strategy, saying she'd seen miraculous results. We're in the midst of that right now, and my dog is so much better that she's desperate to get out of that kennel. (she has another two days to go, poor thing.) They have never tried to upsell me, as other vets have. For boarding, it's the cheapest around. They don't get to run like other places with runs. They are walked briefly twice a day with other dogs of their size, and except at night, hang out with other dogs in the open room. It's nothing special but it is a safe place for them to be. If you have a high energy dog, I'd recommend a place with a bigger area for them to run. They know all four of my dogs well and have been gentle with them. Once during boarding my greyhound's eye was injured on a walk while boarding (probably on a tall blade of grass, they think.) Because it was a vet's office, they treated him, gave him antibiotics, and const

Love this vet and am thankful every time for their quality care. I feel they have always gone above and beyond to help us. They have been great about fitting in me in when needed. Staff have all been incredibly kind. I'm also thankful for kind vets who listen to me. Highly recommend.

last appointment arrived 5 minutes late and was told they couldn't take my dog for a vaccine booster. Had to make an appoint for a month and a half later. Later someone called and got me in within a few days. fast forward to today. made an appointment a month and a half ago for rabies booster and nail trim. Arrived 10 minutes early. They never wrote the appoint down. now it's another month and a half for an appointment. don't waste your time, they are disorganized, rude, and could care less about your pet All they want is the next animal to charge for.
