Jacob devries came to my house and took measurements for solar shades to replace old wood blinds. All good so far but the valances were a disaster. obviously someone doesn't understand angles. They were too short. The installers were in my garage sawing away but they were beyond help. Have not heard when they will be fixed. My husband just passed away and I am not a happy camper to say the least. I expected it to be right the first time. I am so not impresse.

Requested a quote in January '23, paid for full in March '23, still waiting for the blinds in July '23. Sales person does not even bother to respond via phone or email. Disappointing service so far. I have escalated to the franchise owner Ryan DeVries today. Will keep the review updated.Update 8/19/2023 - After escalating to Ryan, things moved very fast. He was able to get to the bottom of the issue and was very responsive. He provided frequent updates on when the blinds would be available, etc. He also expedited the install just in time for the summer. The installation crew was professional and courteous. They installed the blinds over two weekends (it was much more complicated than I expected), taking care of routing the power cords correctly. Once Ryan was involved, the experience was 5 star.

I have worked with this company on two houses and can say that in a world where home renovation businesses regularly fail to stick to a budget or a calendar, Budget Blinds does both. They also handled a problem with efficiency and no stress on my part. Every employee is a pleasure to meet and work with.

Steve did a great job at measuring our windows, gave us as much time to decide what we needed for shades and he also recommended that we visit the store to see what options are available there to suit our needs. The owner was very helpful and facilitated the appointments and gave us estimated time for installation. Their installer, Walter who installed the valance was very professional and meticulous. We are so pleased with the outcome. We highly recommend doing business with them.

A "one-stop shop" for window treatment ideas and solutions. This family-owned business is professional, attentive and knowledgeable, offering great service and honest opinions about the many products represented.I was very pleased with the entire experience, from the onset of my initial showroom appointment to the expertise in installation. After several design discussions/options, all my questions were answered and challenges for the project were resolved. Highly recommended.

I am so disappointed with my experience with Budget Blinds. I have tried to communicate directly with them but no response to my recent email. Unfortunately, the sales person is the grandson of the owner of the company so the whole company has to tiptoe around that and he is young and inexperienced. I ended up with one blind that doesn’t fit the window (I can see outside when the blind is down), ended up with another that is for a very big window and likely should not have been a roller blind (too heavy for that size window), and the worst one is the blind in front of my tub which in order to open and close I have to climb in the tub twice a day, the pull is in the middle of the blind. He should have said the manual grab is in the middle of the blind, or should have suggested a side pull system. He is inexperienced and unfortunately I relied on his advice. So 3 of my 6 blinds are unacceptable. After speaking with customer service and not getting acceptable answers I wrote the owner with no response. I am having to buy a whole new blind for the one over the tub and no solution for the others. People make mistakes and it is a shame that the owner (who is active in the business ) doesn’t make things right. They own both Kirkland and Bothell. I am very disappointed.

The website and the front door said they’re open until 5:00 Monday-Friday. I drove 20 mins in traffic, arrived at the store at 4:06 on Thursday, May 25th (not a holiday that I’m aware of), and they were closed. Very frustrating, and a complete waste of my time. Thanks Budget Blinds/Bothell. It’s no wonder your rating is lower than other branches in the area.

Absolutely loved our blinds and the install went great but went to the store and the gentleman wasn’t wearing a mask. I asked if he would put one on and he said he doesn’t have one and won’t put one on. I said even when the customer is asking and he said no I will not. Really disappointed.

I ordered roller shades with smart solutions for my home in late 2021. Through the process the delivery timeline was extended from 2 months to 6 months, numerous times due to supply chain issues which was understandable. The communication throughout this time was dismal and the company wouldn’t do anything to make it better. After about 3 months, the valence now has air bubbles, sub standard work. Given the numerous delays and bad communication during the initial process I am not looking forward for a follow up on this.

The customer service at budget blinds at the Bothell location is HORRIBLE. Over the first visit, they were kind enough to let me go through their options and take some samples that I liked. But they couldn’t provide even a rough estimate of the prices for the window measurements I provided. Over 4 store visits and 5 phone calls in the weeks to follow, they kept promising they would respond with some rough quotes in a day’s time. But I didn’t hear back after consistently following up for 4 weeks! I understand if they are backlogged and need time to schedule an appointment for measurements. But at the very least, I expect them to be honest in their communication, respect the customer’s time and keep their word when they make vehement promises. Till the end, I couldn’t get any sense of pricing to decide if the designs I chose made sense for my project. The branch at Mill Creek are not allowed to service my zip code. The folks at Kirkland seemed more understanding, but still couldn’t do much to help me. Word of caution- if you are being helped by Jason, keep browsing other stores too. I had a decidedly better experience elsewhere. I also found Jason to be slightly racist. Out of nowhere, he told me to my face, “Don’t be one of those Indians who are cheap and bring back curtains from India in their suitcases”. I was peeved but laughed it off back then. However, this adds to my unpleasant experience with them.

I have had my new blinds for three weeks now and I could not be happier! Keean, Mary and Charlie were wonderful to work with. Keenan was so helpful in helping us pick out all the features and his measurements were spot on. Mary was always quick to return my emails and answer questions. Charlie's installation skills were amazing. He did all four windows, including the large front window in no time; and he cleaned up after himself I highly recommend Budget Blinds of Bothell. Great options and very budget friendly prices.
