Simply awful. Don't bring a foreign car here. Not only will they screw it up, they'll treat you terribly, too. Lame and unprofessional. Double thumbs down... don't do it!

Used them a couple times for two different cars and two times now I had to bring both cars back after picking them up because the problem was not fixed (although they said it was and took payment) On one occasion, I picked my car up after they said it was fixed & I paid them in full. As I was driving home, only about a mile later, my check engine light went on and I heard the noise happening (the same noise I brought it in for originally) when I took it back, they were extremely rude & claimed my car now had a new problem and needed a diagnostic. The diagnostic wouldn't be able to get done for days. My car had already been there for a whole week! I was upset and asked them to prioritize the car since it had already been in, the problem not fixed and i had paid over $800! I ended up towing my car and taking it to a specialist in Portland who fixed it for $200 and said it was a completely different problem that in the mechanic at Gilco said it was. I basically believe they "fixed" something that was not even broken, charged me over $800 and then returned my car with the same problem unfixed, claiming it was a different problem. They were angry when I had my car towed and proceeded in a very unprofessional way, to insult me, telling my husband "to keep your wife in check!!!! " I do not think these people are profession, competent, or trust worthy. Find another mechanic!

Place is a joke but might be under new ownership now… I went here in 2019 to have my glow plugs replaced. Some dark haired guy said it would be $1200! ?? I politely declined the service. What a joke! Took it into Del Carpine and they did the job for $182.00

I don't normally write reviews but as a new Sprinter owner in Hood River who has had several disappointing service experiences with Mercedes dealerships in Portland, as well as another local service provider who charges the exact same rates as the dealerships, I was referred to Gillco as another local source for Sprinter service. From the first encounter with the advisor, to the automated documentation process and of course the actual service I received I was overwhelmed. I did not think these type of service providers actually existed anymore. Very knowledgeable on Sprinter service and reasonably priced. They have a new customer for life and if you own a Sprinter in the Gorge, and don't want to deal with the stealerships, this is your service place !

I took my car in to have the tires swapped. It took the entire day and, upon driving 40 feet, a wheel feel off. Completely. My car was not nice to begin with but this did further body damage. Their only offer was to put the wheel back on. I had to request that they check the rest of the lug nuts.
Either over-worked or incompetent. Probably some combination of the two.
Go elsewhere.
