Winter is coming and my friendly neighborhood hummingbirds will need to eat. Last year I spent too many days bringing their feeder in to thaw out. This year I promised myself I would get a heated feeder. Off I went to the Wild Bird Chalet. (Yes, I could have looked online, but I try to "buy locally" when I can). As I entered the store, I was met by a cheerful, smiling woman. Julie was her name, "owner" was her game. She showed me a nice array of options that I felt were very reasonably priced. I chose one and asked about maintenance. She patiently explained how to clean and care for my new soon-to-be-purchase. Great shop, great experience. Hopefully now, the birds will give me a good Yelp review !!

Nice selection of feeders, accessories and bird feed. Due to current road construction and road closures it may be difficult to exit the parking lot!Still, worth the effort.

FRESH seed and great service! I'd much rather spend an extra dollar or two to ensure I'm getting fresh wild bird food, while also getting a bonus of excellent free advice and supporting a local business. Staff were super welcoming and friendly. I bought the "no grow" seed mix (sunflower, peanut, and millet) and honestly when I opened the bag it smelled so enticing it was tempting to sample it. The store looks small from the outside but they had a wide variety of bird feeding supplies.

A friend of mine, who is seriously involved with birds, has highly praised this shop over time. I joined him on one of his shopping trips there and found it to be a small treasure. While I can't speak to all-things-bird, I did enjoy some of the items there and ended up purchasing a pair of metal herons that now grace my living room. They are gorgeous. I got to meet Julie, the owner, who helped me, broadening my choices. I was also impressed that she is being extremely careful during the pandemic. I can certainly say that birders may want to check her place out. Even those of us who are not, might find something magical.

Such a wonderful store! The seeds we get here for our feeders have attracted more varieties of birds than we have ever seen! So many happy birds in our yard. They also use refillable containers so the waste is minimal. Love it

I just love this place.I have been shopping here for many years..Julie is the owner and is very helpful in getting the right food for different birds..She has many different feeders for all kinds of birds,I take great pride in being able to shop local and not the big box store who have very low grade bird food..Most seed you buy there is wasted..
