They are a good credit union. Usually lots of tellers to help. The only thing I wish for is that they set up direct deposits to automatically deposit in the morning instead of manually entering them at 3pm in the afternoon.

I was in a tough spot post covid and i was looking at losing everything. WECU reached out to me with an offer for a pandemic relief loan that was low interest with excellent terms. i have also gotten a debt consolidation loan that was easy to apply for and receive. WECU staff has always been helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about services that best suit my specific needs. You guys saved me when i needed it the most, and for that, I will always be a grateful and loyal customer!

They have some decent perks, but be careful and keep an eye on your transactions. I have had lots of problems over the years.

The bank rep was very professional and friendly. He processed my choice of bank products and printed all disclosures for my records. I was out of the bank in 15 minutes.

Online banking is worlds ahead of the competition. Living and working away from home for 4 years we would have been lost without WECU.

Been banking with WECU from a young age but the help I've tried to get from them have not been pleased with me. Like trying to get a new card sent to me and they were gonna confirm it a an official mailing site for me when all I wanted was a new card sent to me nothing else changed when I was living in a different part of Washington for a summer. Also during the pandemic they placed my stimulus check into someone else's bank account (thankfully it was my mom's) but it was frustrating enough to deal with that not knowing where it went at the time. Also I've had many frauds with my card and its already been enough for me. If you want a better bank BECU is the best and I can bank from anywhere in Washington with them because of the amazing locations they have for members! WECU you have lost my interest in not banking her anymore...

If you want a simple loan to take 2 months, sporadic responses, call centers, long lines you should just go to a bank. WECU is not a good experience ever. You've been warned.

We currently have a business account here.We recently did business with a website designer who did not complete the work, dissolved her LLC, and then wouldn't return calls or refund any payment. We attempted to file for fraud with WECU who would only let us file for a small amount ($666.66 out of $4,000) due to the time that had passed since the transaction had occurred. WECU denied this fraudulent activity because they sent Visa's correspondence to the WRONG ADDRESS and Visa closed the case, even though we physically went into a branch and updated our address when we purchased our new home and closed our previous mortgage with WECU.Even during this current issue, I've talked to multiple MSRs and a manager at WECU about them not updating our address and 3 different times we called in to follow up on this and they STILL had our old address on file. I was told by the manager that WECU would eat the cost and issue us a credit if they found it to be their error for not updating our address, but they haven't done that either. This place does not care about their members at all. We used to have a mortgage, auto loan, and personal checking here, but we moved those products to other institutions. We will be moving our business account to a different Credit Union after the busy season as well.EDIT: Even their canned response is BS. We provided all requested pertinent info. They are missing the point: they FAILED to update our address multiple times, they FAILED to stand behind their members, and they even FAILED to provide disclosures when we opened our account (which is against the law). Do not bank here.

I applied for a credit card back in May and I just got a call today on it. That right there is absolutely terrible member service. Then she tells me she is sending me a code and to keep it because it will need the code to access the documents to sign. Sure, no problem. I get the documents but the code I have is not what was entered into the docu-sign so I cannot access them. I email her back (I spoke to her less than 5mins prior) and she states that she cannot assist me that I have to call. What? You just put the incorrect code in and now I have to call? Again, terrible member service. Where is accountability? Call me back, send me another code. Take care of what you did incorrectly. Your response should never be "sorry you need to call the main number". Even when I went back again to try and I hit "didn't receive access code" it told me to contact via email who I had already contacted! Now she won't even respond to my emails. AWFUL!

Terrible. I had no idea how hard it would be to work with this company. I have a car loan and this business makes it way too difficult to make a payment. You have to open a checking account if you want to make a payment or pay 8$ to do it online. What a scam. When I send online through my own backing institution it will take weeks to go thru. Wecu has actually cashed my check (as noted in my bank account) but not posted to my car loan and then charged me a late fee. I had to sit on the phone and call in to get it reversed. Terrible.

I am honestly shocked at the customer service that I have received today from WECU. I maintain this local credit union relationship because I expect more from local credit unions -- particularly in the way of customer service -- than I do from big banks. Based on today's experience, you would have thought I was dealing with Wells Fargo, Chase or Bank of America! Essentially, I wrote a large check from another financial institution to deposit into WECU as I wanted to pay my WECU credit card, as well as a few other bills which were already linked to the WECU account. I made the deposit on 4/17. Due to the amount of the check, I was not at all surprised to see a hold placed, with a notation that the hold would release on 4/19. With this in mind, I went ahead and scheduled one of the aforementioned bill payments to draft today, 4/20. When checking my account yesterday I still saw both the hold and the pending ACH transaction dated 4/20. When I logged in this morning expecting to see everything cleared, both the hold and the pending transaction had disappeared from my view, but the available balance was still wrong, so I went ahead and called WECU. I got a very kind representative who seemed to understand my concern, but he needed to put me on hold to call and deal with the issue. He came back after a while and told me that ultimately while the check was on hold due to the amount until 4/25, that an exception has been made to make a portion available so that my transaction would be covered. I was still frustrated that I was given bad information by their system and suggested that he actually follow-up, but in the end I hung up thinking my issue was (mostly) taken care of. Fast forward a few hours -- I logged into my account to confirm that all was well, and what do I see? WECU BOUNCED AN IMPORTANT TRANSACTION which I had been assured would clear. This is a really big issue for me as this is another financial institution that I've had a flawless history with, and now I've bounced a payment to them! I immediately called. I asked for a supervisor. After being placed on hold for a few minutes I was connected with Shannon, a Loan Supervisor. I immediately questioned Shannon whether or not she was the right person to speak to since this was not a loan issue and she assurred me that she is a supervisor and that she could help. I really did not want to have to repeat my story 3 separate times. Undoubtedly after I explained, Shannon informs me that she cannot help and that I have to speak with someone else. Oh my god, did you work at BofA in a past life?!?!?!?! I ended up being connected with Brian, a Contact Center representative. I was surprised because after I explained my issue, Brian did not seem to understand why I was frustrated. He seemed smug and said that the issue was ultimately my fault because the funds were not available. Well, Brian, I'm sorry, I scheduled my bill payment transactions based on when your system told me the funds would be available! I literally do not know what I did wrong in this scenario, and I did not appreciate being spoken to as if I were a deadbeat who had done something wrong. I am now waiting for a call back from Brian. I really have low expectations. Honestly, when an error seems to obviously pointed at WECU based on the app AND the representative providing incorrect information, I cannot believe how I was treated and spoken to. You don't have to be a genius to hear condescending tones, and honestly, they're not appreciated. I will seriously hesitate before I give any more business to WECU based on this experience.

Looong time customer. The general state of this company has degraded beyond belief. Up until current leadership took over, this company ran like clock work. It appears they have decided the best way to make a name for themselves is to degrade the customer experience from top notch, to the lowest common denominator, to make a few bucks. The quality of service you will get is a pot luck of mostly untrained badness, the customer has to crutch them through. This is the home branch, I shutter to think what's going on at the other locations...

Worst banking establishment I've ever dealt with. Don't process payments in a timely manner. Then charge you interest because they can't process in a timely manner.
