I was surprised to look at the low reviews for this value village location. Personally I have enjoyed visiting this location and feel that the staff is friendly, and there is a wide variety of clothing and items to shop from.

I purchased a $55 pot here - just moved from out of state and had to replace everything. I got it home and removed the sticker, then realized the enamel was gone on a pea size spot inside the pot. I went to return it and they told me they couldn't do anything. Why ARE you selling items that are dangerous for the consumer!???! I am out $55 a result of your teams' negligence - nothing said final sale - NOTHING. You got these items as donations, many of which came from YOUR CUSTOMERS - you would not exist without them! Treat them with a modicum of decorum and respect. I bought it knowing I could return it with a receipt. Stop allowing children to run your stores, letting them deliberately screw over people that cannot afford to lose money. Do better!

We had a piece of furniture that we wanted to buy. Only problem was there was no tag. We tried to ask for help at the self checkout, but was ignored by 3 employees. We decided to go to a checkout with a clerk to purchase the item and get a price. But while standing in line someone told us a self checkout was open and we then just tried to say there was no price on the item. Then I assume the manager came up to us and started getting mad at my partner saying that we didn’t look for the price, getting aggressive telling us that the price she gave was $15.99 but there was no communication of the price to us. But I then told her that there was no problem and that we just wanted to buy the item. The lady then got aggressive and continued to be rude about the item to the point that we didn’t want to purchase it anymore. It was very uncalled for to start arguing with a customer like that over a price issue. I’ve never had customer service like that before.

Never updated their hours to pre covid so they close too early, and everything is 12.99 and up now it seems. Even cheap clothes is never less than like 3.99. seriously $15 for some nike running shorts that are $25 new, insane pricing. I thrift religiously but its more worth it to drive to the bins in seattle than spend $60-100.

Some of the workers there seemed a little off was accused of stealing and was told to empty my pockets and told them and showed them I was not. My brother said he tried to get a job there and got a interview and the employer looked like a drugged out meth head who was falling in and out of consciousness and he said it was the worst interview he had ever been to they kept him waiting around. Other then that and how much lint and fabric dust is in the air walking around in there they do have some neat stuff. Which I like donated a ton of stuff to also at somtimes.

This Bellingham store has a very rude black attendant who feels she has the right to be incredibly rude and embarrass folks for no reason at all except she feels she has the right to do so..the manager was called, she could have handled it so differently and I wouldn't be writing this..

I Love Going to Value Village...I Never Know What Kind of Treasures I'm Going to Fine...It is So Much Fun...This Place is a Must See if You Enjoy Thrift Stores...Caution Though...Some of The Prices are Way Way to High So Be Watchful...Some Items aren't Even Close to Being Worth What They are Asking...Have Fun and Enjoy...Just Watch the Prices ?

Rude receiving crew that likes to threaten people that are there alone. I'm really surprised that value village allows these two bigots to work for them. They failed to greet me properly or even give me a coupon for my donation. I wonder what they were biased about? I'm going to come back in a few more months and see if they're still working there.

This place has crack addict prices. The management sucks. I'm a a 6' 5" man that don't dress fancy and this place has made jc penny and Burlington coat factory the discount clothes store. This used to be the place you went for clothes because you were poor and wanted to look better than Walmart. I have seen used Walmart shirts that are double priced in here. The only thing that is worth coming here for at this point is books and if your lucky a cheap chair if it's the tag of the week. Not only do they have crack head prices but crack head attitudes to compliment the prices. They don't know why you are shopping in their store, but they will make sure you feel unwelcomed.

My husband really wanted a pair of "Ray Banz" sunglasses for his birthday at the beginning of this month that were in the glass Jewelry case @ the front of the store, which had a price tag of $89.00! Him & his buddy were so excited, saying that [they] were $300 sunglasses! - I'm sorry, but getting something at a thrift Store after it has been used for a third of the price it sold for brand new is NOT a good deal to me. Plus, I asked them to hold the glasses for me untiI I got there, & they said that was against their policy. Lame!

I would be giving 5 stars because the purchases we made this trip were outstanding scores, as always when I have gone here to find treasures. My beef right now is with the SELF CHECKOUT bandwagon Value Village has jumped on. You know, the one that takes the jobs from your employees and puts it on your customers to do. I'm shocked. It's been years since I have been to your store and I could not believe you would seriously even consider doing this. I will never use self checkout. I pay for goods that get donated to your store for FREE. Now you want ME to be the shopper AND the cashier while your company rakes in the dough selling donated merchandise - should I chat to myself about my cool finds whilst I scan my items as? Um, NO!! So I did the only thing I could do, and went to the only real register with an ACTUAL person to checkout. Super mad VV has succumbed to taking industry jobs from good Americans and replacing them with a legion of self checkout.

There are no visible back pack policy sign, yet my friends and I got reprimanded by a store employee because we had our school back packs with us. I understand stand this policy and would be happy to oblige, but when there are no signs for customers to see, I feel that a different approach would be appropriate for the circumstance.

I have always enjoyed shopping here till recently. Went in to find only self-checkout. This is a store where people drop off stuff and they make money off your stuff, the least they could do is keep checkers employed. I will not be returning, if this is the convenient way of the future count me out.

I used to shop regularly at Value Village, but haven't gone in since before COVID started. Apparently they have recently removed the fitting rooms completely. Unfortunately, this makes it impossible for me to shop for clothes there any longer, as I try on everything before deciding to purchase. Fitting rooms weren't great before, with cleanliness and wait times being among other issues, but at least they existed. I would point towards this being a staffing & managerial issue with the company, as it should not be difficult to offer quality fitting rooms if stores are staffed properly. They also don't offer returns for refund or store credit, and only offer exchanges, so it's risky to buy anything without knowing whether it fits or not.

fun place to thrift at if you are Not expecting true thrift prices and are willing to dig, but i honestly don't understand why people donate to this place considering it's a for profit company. also not sure how one justifies the level of price gouging here for items they receive for free. really the only thing going for it is it's keeping some clothes out of the landfill.if you want to actually donate towards a cause instead of benefiting some 'thrift corpo', go to the humane thrift or y's buys.
