Fred's used to be one of my goto stores, but no more. Costco and Walmart have made public statements about their costs dropping and them passing savings on to customers. I have started seeing this in local pricing drops. Trader Joe's has been dropping, raising and dropping prices for a year, I assume, reflecting the changes in their wholesale costs. Fred's seems to stick to their old pricing models. Put a few items on an actual good sale price, mark up other items above retail, then mark them down to retail and say they are on sale and then leave regular items at inflation prices. The Bakerview store has great employees. Gonna miss them.

their phone line customer service is more than happy to be transphobic food is too expensive through delivery services- it doubles everything thru instacart. sure you can pay separately for their Boost as well, but as a disabled person sometimes i need things that Fred's doesn't sell, so it just doesn't make sense for me. i wish i had any other option for groceries but- bellingham is a food desert.

Great store. Deli, clothes, furniture food. They have cut down on their self check line. Usually only half open these days.

They are still rearranging everything so it is still wonky. I think when they are done is when I will be able to remember where everything is again. LOL

I was in the electrics section being assisted by DAKOTA, and wow it was so refreshing to work with an associate who goes above and beyond whats required of them. Dakota was so helpful and made the buying process super simple, and best of all his positive attitude and great smile really brighten the electronics department. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE ASAP, HE IS AN ASSET THAT U MUST PROTECT! Josephs cool too, give them all raises lol.

While I've been to many Fred Meyer's, This one was definitely the worst experience. My wife went in to purchase some adult beverages. She provided them with a proper identification, and was told that I would have to come in to provide my identification. Which I was amazed at and stand. Maybe one of the reasons why that occurred was the assistant store Manager was being extremely discriminatory because my wife was from Kenya! She was extremely rude in her explanation for the reason why she wanted my identification. When I asked her why she didn't accept my wife's identification, which was valid she had no explanation. This will be the last time that I go to this location and of course, because nothing was done who was involved in the situation the assistant store manager.

For a more local grocery store, go here. With a clothing section, it's more like a Target or Meijer if you're from the Midwest. You can find anything here!

Busy.....always busy....good service . Many self checkouts...but usually only a couple at live checkstands... usually lines for self checkout too....wish they would open more live checkout stands...Haggens is on top of this. You will still have checkers waiting for you to help....you don't see this at Fred Meyer...this is something Kroger brought in ...lack of checkoutstands live

Worst pharmacy that I've ever been. Tp be clear, I've been going to this Fred Meyer for all my groceries as well as the pharmacy. It has been very convenient. Even when just needing medications, I would always make a trip through to pick up groceries, households supplies, kitchen, bath etc. Over the last year, they have cut their staff to almost nothing. The drive though is closed, thus forcing people to go into the store. And with that, the line will be 10-15 people deep with 1 person manning the cash register. Try calling? Immediately put on hold. Last month, I called 4 times and was on hold for 10 minutes each and then hung up each time. That was it for me. While it take me an extras 5 mounter to drive to Walmart, I'll be using them for all my household and pharmacy needs. It beats standing in line at the Fred Fred Meyer Bakerview pharmacy for 20-30 minutes. I feel sorry for the staff, it clear to see they're being run ragged by corporate decision to understand.

Wanted to have produce delivered to ailing friend. I live out of state. Fred Meyers was only online grocery I could find to gather and deliver exactly what I needed. Timely too.

Poor customer service. Went through self checkout just to get cigarettes. Waited in line for roughly 10 minutes, only to be told they didn't have cigarettes at that end. Therefore, I was expected to walk to the other end, where it was busier, to get them after waiting, probably, another 20 minutes. I just left. I'll shop somewhere else than this particular store. Seems customer service in Bellingham, WA doesn't have the same definition as everywhere else...

Excellent location, right by the exit off of I-5. This Fred's is clean and stocked for the weekend grocery shoppers. Helpful staff led us to where we needed to go.

This Fred Meyers has really gone downhill over the last few years. They finally got some carts in stock, although many of them are in very bad shape. Like driving a car with bad steering alignment or a locked up tire. Isles are regularly blocked up with insta shoppers taking up room, making it difficult to navigate the aisles. They are regularly short of checkers or only have one self checkout running with a line down the freezer isle waiting. Hopefully, they get it together soon, or I may have to endure shopping someplace else.
