“Wow, what a polar opposite experience from my last rental car adventure. The guy who works the counter here regularly is fantastic. Takes his time, answers all your questions thoughtfully — always providing the right level of information. By the right level of information, I mean to say that in some outfits, it is possible to leave out important details in your answers that can have dire financial consequences (late fees, rate changes, the inability to get unused rental days refunded if you pay in advance, etc). The Rental Car business model in general is set up opportunistically, and it capitalizes on uncertainty. There are a lot of logistical details that are difficult to navigate or understand without a bit of explanation, and nobody can make it through the typical Rental Car contract when they are en route somewhere or in a hurry. so having a representative who is honest and empathetic about your concerns is everythjng.I've had to rely on rental cars a lot lately while my van goes in and out of the shop, and I never know when the work will be finished. The first time I rented here I had prepaid, which limits your options if you end up needing fewer days than anticipated. The guy explained this to me so that I would know next time that it's better to overestimate the number of days you'll need the vehicle, and not to pre-pay. That way, I was able to be more strategic the second time I rented from them— and his helpfulness was why I came back to Avis a second time, and will continue to choose them over the other options at the airport. He also made sure I got a slightly bigger vehicle than initially planned so that I could accommodate my bicycle. His friendliness, integrity, and sincere desire to help are consistently above and beyond; I've really appreciated his guidance, and from the looks of the other reviews here, I'm not the only one!”

“Loved the smart car. $30/day plus tax, and the charges were correct. Great, personable service from the owners. They also walked me through the details of how everything works, and prior damage.”

“Updated review: National’s customer service was helpful, I didn’t realize most locations including BLI don’t offer EE upgrades. Pretty expensive ($272) for a 3 hour rental.”

“The car options were just alright, and the car was alright all and all. It was a Toyota so very dependable at least and good, but it wasn't any special sort of Toyota, and was in just a bit of rough-ish shape honestly, but whatever it did the job. Car rental places here especially are just a touch uncomfortably high-ish really in my opinion, but maybe it's gone up even further with inflation the way it is these days even more so..”

“I recently rented a car through Alamo (via Costco- best price) and had an excellent experience with the service at the PHX airport and with the vehicle. The pick of our SUV was flawless! When we needed to exchange it (low oil pressure light came on) it was an easy call to them with clear instructions. We were then given another SUV for the remainder of the trip. Drop off was easy and the employees were great. Definitely rent from them !”

“The first car we got was ok, nothing special. We hit a large rock in the road after some rocks had fallen from a mountain side and blew out the tires on the way to North Cascades National Park. The donut was larger than the original tired and the Jack was small. Changing the tire on the side of a mountain in the rain was an interesting experience. We had to drive the car two hours away to the next closest airport to get a new car. We paid $140 for the tires to be replaced. The size of the next car was fine but the gas tank was only 3/4 full which is super annoying since we returned a full tank and would be expected to do the same with the next car too.”

“It’s not located in SeaTac terminal but public transport is available to the rental facility. On the day of my booking, it had extremely long wait times and this seemed to be the only facility facility which was busy compared to others (probably coz of better price deals).”

“I don't know why all the bad reviews? I've used these guys multiple times over the last couple years and always had a great experience. Folks at the counter are always kind and helpful, never any issues with the vehicles.”
