“We absolutely love this shop. The new location is conveniently located and has easy parking. I'm really liking the new space, it's large and well organized, super clean, and the employees are friendly and helpful. My younger daughter always makes the climb into the upstairs playhouse so she can observe the whole store. I'm over 40 years old and usually end up finding something cool for myself as well. They've got a great selection of all the stuff we like (Thinking Putty, Legos, puzzles and fidget toys). There's a cool demo area too where you can try out lots of the newest toys and games. I'm happy to have this gem of a toy store here in Bellingham.”

“This bookstore is such a gem. Take your time to browse all three floors, especially the cookbook/kitchenware/gift section if that's your thing (it's mine!). Great selection of cookbooks. Besides the fiction section (love the staff selection shelves), the third floor is home to the Evolve Cafe and a work/reading area, which is a great feature and LBTQIA+ owned/friendly. Lovely food and drink choices to keep you lingering. Village Books also carries used titles, so bargain shoppers and prolific readers will get great value. I visit every time I am in the area, and would definitely take advantage of all of their events if I lived nearby.”

“So many of the reviews about Eclipse mention the lack of organization. Let me share a true story that showcases "knowing your inventory ". Several years ago I was in search of a copy of "Kitchen Confidential", by Anthony Bourdain. So off I went to Eclipse. I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't have time to spend browsing. Seeing the owner surrounded by stacks of books at what I think was the checkout counter (I was unable to see the cash register - it was concealed by books). I approached, dodging other piles of books covering the floor. As I got closer, the gentleman looked up and nodded, flashing a friendly smile. I asked if he had my desired book. Without speaking, he turned slightly to his left and using both hands lifted the top seven books off a nearby tall stack. He looked back at me and said, "Your book is the one on the top". I was speechless. I have returned to Eclipse on numerous occasions and the polite gentleman never ceases to amaze me with his "inventory knowledge". This bookstore is truly a one-of-a-kind treasure. Savor it.”

“Shortly before we arrived to Barnes and Noble, Dementors descended upon this muggle shop and did what they do best, suck the peace and joy out of the people. The non-magical law enforcement was summoned to manage the Dementors. Though they were non-magical, they must have some special power. It seemed they cast a spell and *POOF*, the Dementors disappeared. With help from the kind shop keepers (visibly shaken by their dementor encounter), I was able to find everything that I needed, including a set of Harry Potter walkie-talkies that I didn't know I needed until the universe set them before me.Good triumphed over evil. The End.”

“Enjoying books, I’m impressed with Henderson Books. It’s a massive bookstore with used books in every section. The kids corner kept my six-year-old daughter’s attention for a long time and I was impressed with their travel section, often underrepresented.”

“lovely little campus store in the heart of WCC! Helpful and friendly staff and lots of great campus gear. I also worked here while attending Whatcom and it was a great experience!”

“This festival, hosted on Memorial Day Weekend in historic Fairhaven, is lovely to walk through and drink in. It's a beautiful part of Bellingham, and there are lots of vendors with food and interesting wares, crafts and art. The festival featured bands and plenty to places to enjoy the music. This festival was a happy coincidence for me--I came for the Ski to Sea event, and the festival was a beautiful bonus.”

“Absolutely adore this location. Have volunteered here at summer camps and have attended for a women's retreat with the ladies at my church. Excellent service and facilities. Great waterfront area!”

“Back during my BTC days I was a regular at the bookstore. If I'd been Yelping back then, I'm sure I'd have been the Duchess...by far! It's small, but packed with tons of great supplies for students. I could never get enough of their colorful selection of Sharpies, their artful collections of interestingly-shaped highlighter pens, or their row up on row of cute notepads. It's true, I probably spent wayyy more money in here than I should have - especially as a student. They also have food, and if you forgot your lunch this is a great place to stop for a quick snack. Make sure and go when there are two cashiers (there's only one during the quiet times) - especially if you're in a hurry. There's also no parking near here so plan accordingly.”

“The employees are friendly. They have good merchandise. It would be awesome if they had some regular items that were specific to teams ("WWU cross country"), but they may be restricted from doing that.”
