“Seth at Fairhaven Bicycles is amazing! He spent about an hour with me on my initial visit. I haven't ridden in a long time (10 years), and I didn't feel like a moron when I couldn't remember the specific names of the bicycle components (stem, post, etc.). I am short, so my options of available bikes are limited. Seth didn't stear me away from what I wanted (not available) but offered multiple alternative options.

I called Fairhaven Bicycles a couple of days later, and they ordered the bike I decided on. They accepted a down-payment over the phone. As promised, the bike arrived on the day they projected.

The best part was getting the bike! I brought my saddle, shoes, and new pedals. Seth spent over an hour with me. He explained all of the components (without making me feel like an idiot). He put the saddle and pedals on, and even the cleats on my shoes. Then, he put the bike on the trainer and adjusted the seat and headset height. The reach was still too long, so he ordered a shorter stem for me.

After the bike fit, Seth explained some basic maintenance and demonstrated how to easily remove the front and back wheels. I tried on a couple of helmets, and he offered his advice regarding the safety ratings. He then helped me load the bike into my truck!

This was a big purchase for me. I appreciate the attention I received on my initial visit (before I gave them any money) and the amount of time Seth spent with me when I picked up the bike to ensure the bike was configured to fit me. I really appreciate not being pressured to purchase additional items (that I will need in the future).
