I love this gym as it is clean and they are always upgrading equipment. In fact, they just installed new treadmills which are awesome. Plus they have great classes, a sauna, and Pickleball! I am always recommending it when anyone mentions gyms or working out. The staff is super friendly, too!

Bellingham Fitness is very well managed and offers a great value for the quality of the facility. I appreciate their consistent updating of equipment and cleanliness of the premises. I highly recommend a membership!

Great gym, but why is it so stinky? It smells like I’m going to get jock itch just by being in.

My family likes this gym but recently they switched to disposable wipes for the machines instead of the cloths and spray they had before. Not only is this extremely wasteful but there's been a steep decline in people cleaning the machines after use, which is unhygienic. We have a contract but will consider switching to another gym when it's over.

Just started going to Bellingham Fitness to play pickleball on their new courts. First impressions: Very polite, well trained, and helpful staff. Beyond a doubt, the cleanest facility I have been in. It is immaculate! No sign of dirt or dust, no gym odors. Acres of machines, neatly arrayed and accessible. All appear to be in working order and in great shape. The pickleball courts are in great shape, walls are well padded, barrier nets in place. Lightning is subdued, and it's very quiet. I was impressed enough to sign up as a member. Met the owner, he's very high energy and enthusiastic. He clearly cares a lot about his business and the facility. Frankly, I'm impressed to find something so nice in Whatcom County.

I only went to this gym to take a tour because I liked the idea of having access to a Sauna. When I asked for a tour, the employee told me to fill my information on a form. I put my name down, but I get too many scam emails and calls as it is and didn't want to put that down until I became a member. The employee brought another paper to sign, it looked like a waiver. He told me I needed to complete the information to take the tour. I declined. If this is how they treat people just interested in becoming a member, I can only imagine the nightmare trying to end a membership would be or God forbid getting injured there.

It's a very nice gym, but the spa is down almost every other time I'm here. :( It's the primary reason I pick this gym over the other ones.

My experiences at Bellingham Fitness are wildly discrepant from those shared by some people. I “just do it” 3x per week for the past six years at the gym to maintain a level of fitness required to pass the fairly rigorous bi-annual FAA flight physical for airline transport pilots. I have found Scott to de a gentleman and scholar. He works diligently to keep the gym well maintained, spotless and stocked with modern sanitary equipment. His spirited and engaging demeanor is an asset for many members who struggle to maintaining the motivation required for a long-term commitment to their physical health.Bellingham Fitness staff - and Scott in particular - are supportive and accepting of the variety of individuals who comprise their membership base; from the kids to the “oldsters” to those with physical challenges. I know; I’ve been bringing my physically disabled sister to work out for over a year. She receives the same respect, encouragement and humor accorded to all the members.Scott, Dave and the rest of the staff are nice people. I suppose in a world ripe with cynicism, dishonesty and narcissism it’s understandable to mistake sincerity and compassion for something nefariousness. This would be a mistake. Bellingham Fitness is a wonderful family gym and a real asset for our community.

5 starts for the existing equipment, the Zumba instructors and the circuit lifting being well laid out. The staff seems very friendly. 3 stars: There is a huge discrepancy between the classes that Bellingham Fitness claims to have: and what they actually offer: I was unsatisfied that the classes were not offered. I really wanted yoga and some kind of aerobics. When I joined they said they were hiring for these positions. That was 10 months ago. No hires. I left a 3 start rating. 1 star: The owner called me after the 3 star rating and told me he would forgive the rest of my contract (about $100) if I took down my review because he cannot have less that a 5 star rating. I think that is creepy. His explanation included covid money issues, building stuff, contractor issues, and while I feel for him, Bellingham Fitness continues to advertise classes they do not offer and could be considered misleading. I wasn't trying to get out of my contract, and my morals and integrity are hard to buy, so I paid off my contract and I have reposted my review with updated accuracy. Weighted averages ended up with an overall gracious 2 star review. If I get another call after this review, I will call the BBB. P.S. I live in Bellingham not Kent.

Easily the best spot in Bellingham for a good workout. Never crowded and none of the people taking up space while scrolling on their phones like the other local competitor had. 100% would recommend. The staff was also knowledgable and very friendly.
