The Barkley District has great restaurants, movie theater, and even a Haggen Foods store. There is a lovely pond that you can sit and watch the ducks and other birds.

Incredible place to get coffee and breakfast food on the go. Love their banana bread and avocado toast.

We had a member of the family celebrating a birthday and they requested that we go to Crossroads for Texas BBQ as none of us had ever been. I used to live in Texas and love good Texas BBQ so I was agreeable. It was something we shouldn't have done. It was 5:40 when we arrived. We settled in at a tall table. We had two out of the three chairs that wobbled, one so badly that we changed it out with a chair from a table next to us. We ordered water and a pop to begin with and to have while looking at the menu. The pop came but the water didn't. We all decided on our meal and waited to see if the water would arrive as the waitress was going between tables. She came back and asked us for our drink orders...one light beer and one Cadillac Margarita. I didn't know what a Cadillac Margarita was but upon her recommendation decided to try it. And we asked for water again. No water...and the drinks took a long time to come. Once the drinks came mine was in a copper cup...I was confused. I tried it and it was very ginger forward. I thought that it was unusual for a margarita. I sipped it a couple of times and didn't like it pushed it aside and asked for water again which finally came. Eventually the waitress came by and told me that the drink she brought me wasn't a margarita, took it away and brought me back a margarita. The man and lady a few tables away had gotten our drinks, we had gotten theirs. Our family member went ahead and drank his birthday, wrongly delivered beer as he was worried that because the first one took a long time to get to the table the right one wouldn't get there at all. When we placed our food order I ordered a steak, the birthday boy ordered a brisket burger. The waitress took our order to the kitchen. A bit later she came back and said they had run out of steak. What BBQ restaurant runs out of steak by 6 in the evening? I ordered a salad. When the food came brisket tacos were delivered instead of the brisket burger..and I got my salad but no silverware to eat with. We got up and got our own napkins and silverware from across the room.....the birthday boy got to watch us all eat our food while he sat and waited for the correct food to be brought to him. When the brisket burger came it was skimpy on the brisket, no BBQ sauce, lots of bun and melted cheese, no sauce on the side...not very good according to the birthday boy. Not worth the $16 for a few tots and little bit of brisket. He ate it anyway as we were almost finished with our meals by then. He was almost finished with his meal when a second brisket burger showed up to the table..we sent it back..uh... confused kitchen and staff, lack of management.... expensive prices. I hope they get better as I love good Texas BBQ but we didn't find it here. We will not go back unless we see reviews saying it has improved. I hope the owner and management reads this review and others.

Went for the first time. Casual comfortable dining. Ordered the steak which came with 2 sides. I didn’t really want two, but since it was included, went ahead and ordered a salad and potato. They didn’t have baked potatoes ready so got Mac and cheese. Food was fine. Mac and cheese a bit cold. Steak and salad were good. The main problem was when the bill came. I was charged extra for the salad and Mac and cheese. I asked the waitress and looked at the menu to make sure I had read it correctly and that 2 sides came with the steak. I was told that the menu was wrong and was being reprinted and there was an upcharge. I wasn’t told this ahead of time and they charged me even though it was obviously their mistake. Not very respectful to the customer.

Poor service, seems the sever was having a bad day, a bit rude. My husband had a burger, looked and tasted like something from the McDonalds $1 menu, and not real hot. I ordered chicken tacos, was served pork. ...very disappointing. We loved the previous restaurant and were looking forward to this place opening....Might give it one more chance..oh, it was Saturday evening and only 6 people in the bar and not one person in the dining area..besides the nice remodel, the only good thing was that she made a great Moscow Mule

not good. Fish and Tater tots. Pile of batter around an inch of previously frozen fish. Tater tots were freezer burned. Fish was cold in the middle. Burger..I had the BBQ . Really just a frozen patty on a bun. The food is terrible. The server never asked how our meal was or if we were OK with our food. Guessing, they already know. Unless there are some serious changes, my guess is it will not be open long. I hope they make some changes .

So bad! The food here is terrible for what they're charging. We went here for lunch, each ordered a meal and split a beer and it was over $40. The meat was SUPER bland, fish was premade frozen breaded cutlets, tots definitely came from a bag, bbq is nothing special and overly sweet.Server was friendly and prompt and the facility looks nice and is clean. Shame the food isn't better. We won't be returning.

Great place for a great hot dog. Worst part is figuring out how to get into the lot. They should hammer the city to facilitate better access. Currently only going south on Orleans from Sunset or West on Barkley.
