Yarrow Bay Kindercare has been the absolute best possible childcare experience we could ever ask for. The director is invested, involved, caring, and very communicative. Our children have had the most wonderful teachers. They’ve all been patient, kind, present, and compassionate. Our toddler age son comes home singing a new song or saying new words & phrases every single day. We’ve been extremely lucky to have found this center and couldn’t be more thankful for the outstanding care our children have received.

My son has been going here for a little over 5 months and is attending their preschool program. I absolutely love it here. My son has learned so much in the last 5 months. He went from not knowing any of his letters to writing his name and telling me so many interesting facts he learns and knowing almost all of his letters and being able to point them out. Every day I pick him up, he begs me to let him stay longer since he has such a blast. We absolutely love all of his teachers. Everyone is so sweet and kind. I get constant updates throughout the day with pictures of different activities he is engaged in. It makes me happy since I miss him so much while I am at work everyday. I am so thankful for finding Yarrow Bay Kindercare and having it feel like a safe space for my child where he can grow and prosper until it's time for him to go off to kindergarten.

Great experience! My child has learned so much from both the structured instruction but also from socializing with other children.

We have had a very positive experience with Yarrow Bay KinderCare. This was my sons first experience at a child care facility and after a short adjustment period he was happy and content at drop off and pick up times. He has made friends in his class and bonded with his teachers. His teachers have done a great job of helping him adjust to this new environment and routine away from home.We also live in the area part time and they were very flexible with helping and accommodating our specific schedule and needs.

Long overdue review. When looking for childcare--i found surprisingly sparse reviews. are ppl just trying to keep their daycares a secret? We sent our son from 3 months (~2018) to 4 years (2022) full time. Overall, we were very happy with our experience. It was one of those 4 or 5 star moments, because it's not perfect--but for our family i think ultimately it was 5 stars. However, different daycares suit different families, so a little about us. We are both professionals and work full time. While we could technically afford the "fancy" daycares--we're generally low key people and prioritized wanting a place that was safe and happy for our kid that was conveniently located for drop off, had extended hours when we needed it, a didn't want to start pressuring him to be academic at such a young age. We're not trying to get him on the harvard track and we don't care if his food is organic. I've referred several colleagues/friends here--and overall, they seem quite satisfied as well. Staff: Definitely the highlight. They are GREAT--kind, happy, practical, know what they're doing. Both the teachers and administration. Learning: I honestly had low expectations for this. However, I was surprised that they actually do quite a bit of teaching and have a supplementary phonics program. They taught him his letters, numbers, etc. He came home with worksheets. He started tracing letters at home for fun. All them--not me. Thanks!Facilities: the inside was always impeccably clean. This was one of the 1st daycares that re-opened for essential workers and we went back immediately. In all this time, we have NEVER gotten COVID and I'm a healthcare worker so we test--a lot. Frankly, i'm shocked. I had resigned myself that it was inevitable and pretty much all of my friends with children in daycares/schools eventually got COVID, sometimes twice. They have a couple of playgrounds with like a soft mat like material. They have little bikes for the kids to ride. I did wish the play area was bigger and that they had more outside side time (if I recall it was 30-ish minutes x 2 a day? It is by the entrance to the 520 bridge--some people may not like that but i found it insanely convenient as i get on the bridge to go to work. Food: standard kids fare. Think bagels, cereal, probably a Yoplait type yoghurt, pasta, fish sticks, peas/corn/carrots, fruits, granola bars. It's not fancy or organic but it's not horrible either. I do wish they didn't give him so many crackers, but it's fine. We just avoid that stuff at home to balance it out. Infant consideration: One thing i wished when he was such a small infant (3 months) was a higher teacher to infant ratio. They are 1:4. However, if you want 1:3, expect to pay ~$1000/month more. Around 6-9 months, i don't think it matters much (personally) but at 3 months, he was sooo tiny (was already like only 5-10% on the growth curve) and it did make me feel bad dropping him off. However, he seems perfectly fine now. Kids are resilient. Overall: Great staff, teachers, learning. relatively affordable for the area. conveniently located by 520. good hours for those who may earlier or later pick ups. facilities and food are not quite as impressive as probably "fancier" daycares but perfectly adequate.

We love Yarrow Bay! Our daughter has been going to this daycare for the past 4 years and will transition to Kindergarten this fall. The entire staff has always been so welcoming and loving towards her. Of course, it took her time to get used to being dropped off and she would cry (most kids don't want to leave their parents), but she eventually got over that with the sweetness of Miss Raksha a few years ago. The facility is clean and we were well informed during the pandemic. Their online app gives us daily updates on the meals our daughter eats and the activities they do. She also enjoys her phonics lessons. Everyone from the director, assistant director and staff have become extended family.

We moved from Florida to Washington in 2018 and the staff of this center has been nothing but accommodating, caring and flexible . They are really my second family , my son is going to kindergarten now and my heart is broken that i won't see their friendly faces everyday. The center is clean, kids have fun and are well taken care of.

Sep 2018 - Their daycare staff had long nails and hurt my kid on day 1 while changing her diapers. The daycare director tried to handle the situation, but the teacher showed no remorse. Director did not give us access to videotapes. I feel it was a charade by the director, as the teacher still continues to work there.I understand that Seattle/Eastside is growing rapidly, but parents please do yourself a favor and wait for enrollment spots to open up at a good daycare.

I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and care demonstrated by the staff and teachers at Yarrow Bay Kinder Care. My toddler had never been to a day care before and it was extremely difficult for her to adjust in a new environment. The teachers worked patiently with my toddler which allowed her slowly adjust. The teacher's care and affection allowed my child to build trust with them and she started getting comfortable. Within a month, my child was completely adjusted thanks to the efforts put in by the teachers. No two child is alike and each of them need a different level of attention and care and the folks at Yarrow Bay Kinder Care understand and imbibe that philosophy. I was very happy with my experience and I would highly recommend them.

We love the Yarrow Bay Kindercare. The teachers are very warm, knowledgeable and great with the children. Ms. Mirza, the Center Director, is very responsive to our needs. Ms. Gehan, one of the infant teachers, is so sweet, helpful and cares deeply for the babies. We are glad we chose the Yarrow Bay Kindercare for our daycare.

Infant care - My baby started when she was 5.5 months old. The infant care teachers were warm and welcoming. I was at peace at office , after leaving her at the daycare. They called me whenever my immediate attention was required. And, gave me information if food/milk has to be increased based on her need. Specifically her teachers Bahareh, Faiza and Anjum were fantastic. Would recommend for my friends

tldr;Had such a horrible experience, we had to remove our daughter in 2 months and it went down so bad that we literally had to go another day care after picking our daughter from this one and enroll her there the same day.NEVER TRUST THEM TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILD!!We moved our 2.5 yr daughter from Bothell to Yarrow bay Kindercare. And its understandable that she took time adjusting there, but even after 2 months, every morning she was not happy to go to school. So for sure she was not happy there. Her class teacher was Miss Raksha and Neha. While Neha was nice, Raksha and a substitute teacher(Nafisa) is the main reason we had to remove her from that school. Little background about Nafisa: She was born in Afghanistan and grew up in Russia. Her english is so poor. I wouldn't want my daughter to pickup language from her.On the other hand, Raksha is partial. She behaves differently with every kid and calls names. Our daughter is generally very active, but since she was not liking it there, she was not the same. We told Raksha that at home she is very active. She responded by saying that she is very lethargic here. No parent would like to hear that. If the kid is not active and parents tell otherwise, then the teacher has to figure out why thats happening. My daughter was not eating well there, so instead of working with us, she used to blame us as to why we are feeding her this and that for breakfast.Let me come back to Nafisa. One day Raksha was out and Nafisa was supervising the class the whole day. When we picked up our daughter, her diaper was full to max limit. When we complained about it, everyone gave us different reasons and the stories didn't match. And after that Nafisa's attitude with our daughter changed completely. And one friday after that when we dropped her off, we saw Nafisa treating her so badly that we couldn't keep another day there and we removed her from there.Cherry on the ice cream, after removing her when we went back to pick up her stuff, we told the director the exact reason we removed her and the director sided Raksha and Nafisa. So I don't think there was any hope of anything getting better. And when we went to pick up her stuff in the classroom, Raksha literally slammed the door on us.My daughter is going back to the Bothell Kindercare is she is more happy than ever. Every morning she goes to school with excitement. Some days she herself says that she wants to go to school.
