This is a fantastic place for kids to learn a martial art. I took my child in for a "free trial" lesson as offered on their web site. They were greeted warmly and asked to simply get in line with the other kids and try to follow their movements.If my child struggled, got shy, or didn't know how to follow along, the instructor would take time to give specific instruction to them without missing a beat instructing the rest of the class. The trial lesson concluded with my child breaking a board with their hand - a HUGE confidence boost - and they couldn't wait for another lesson.This dynamic type of instruction has continued through their first few lessons and it is really helping my child build skills individually, yet feel like they are part of a team and group accomplishing something together.The beginner class has a range of kids from ages 3 - 7, and a nice mix of boys and girls. The class is also mixed in experience levels, so relatively new students get to watch how their work builds into something bigger as they advance through belt ranks.So far so good!

We had a birthday party here and it was a wonderful experience. The owners not only helped set up tables and a Karaoke machine, they provided everything I forgot to bring (table clothes, silverware, cups/bowls, and even balloons!). The Kungfu masters offered a private class + performance for our group, which the kids enjoyed. They were very proud to have been able to break a "brick" with bare hands, and in their princess costumes! There were plenty of space for the whole group (kids and parents) to eat and chat afterwards. To my surprise, the owners even prepared thoughtful Kungfu-themed gifts for all the kids in the party! We look forward to coming back and try out more of their classes.

Master Zhou is a awesome teacher! He makes the class super fun . My 7th years boy likes a lot . He wants to have the gongfu class everyday! They also have online class as well , when we do not have time to drop by my son . He still can have online classes.

My son has been learning Kungfu here 3 years, he can perform all kinds of kungfu basics, forms with different weapons, and he really enjoy the learnings here. I am so appreciated the help from Shifu.

I've been training here for about three months now and I highly recommend it. Everyone here is so helpful and very friendly! Shifu Zhou is an awesome instructor. If you have questions, everyone is eager to help. The location is tucked away in between several car dealerships so it can be easy to miss, but usually there is a sign out by the road advertising the free trial class. I really wish more people knew about it! It's my favorite part of the week. :)

The academy is clean, spacious and at a great location. Sifu (Master Zhou) is caring towards all his students and very knowledgeable in the art of Shaolin Kung Fu. We are very happy to have our child be part of the kungfu family.

It seems all educational once you start, but as you go up I don't recall him ever teaching you how to fight. All he does is make you do forms, but there were no fighting practices or anything where you can actually practice self defense which I find to be a bit strange and disappointing.

The real deal. Shifu is one of the best teachers I've known. He is patient and will work with each student from where that student is. Very, very highly recommended.

We had a blast celebrating our son’s birthday there. The host were very accommodating for our large group.They arranged a lot of fun activities for both the kids and adults. Everyone had a great time. And we will definitely try out the complimentary classes.Highly recommend Shaolin Kungfu!

I am a new student here at Seattle Shaolin Kungfu Academy. I have enjoyed every lesson that I have taken here. The staff and master are nice and patient with me. The other students are kind towards me and I have made many friends here. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

I am a two year student here at Seattle Shaolin Kungfu Academy. I have had a wonderful experience in the two years that I have been here. I made many friends that are able to support and encourage me along the way of practising Kungfu. Shifu was always patient toward me and everyone, he would go through the same moves and show you your mistakes over and over or if you had forgotten a part. The staff was always friendly and considerate to me, always reminding me if I had forgot something. Other students at the academy are nice and welcoming towards everyone, they will teach you parts that you don't understand and cheer you up when you doubt yourself. Throughout the two years at the academy I have gained more confidence, patience, willpower, and strength. I would definently recommend SSKA to everyone, I'm sure you will love it if you try it out.

Master zhou is professional, friendly, and very patient to my kid. After several classes, my kid is comfort with the class and place. The staffs are also super nice. Many activities and fun in summer camper too! Awesome place for any age !
