The reception lady (senior age and white) is very rude and racist. She’s especially mean to non white and acts like a queen. Totally against what salvation army is for. I didn’t believe in racism but she made me realize it’s still exists. I seriously don’t know why she’s working there and getting paid when she’s so rude and mean to people. It’s a salvation army! Aren’t you guys supposed to be working for the neighborhoods and people? Before you gather donations, think about your mindset!

I’m from Clovis, California.I have visit the Eastside Salvation Army Community Center in Bellevue,Washington. Sometimes I would do volunteer work for them for their food meals. They are doing an awesome job.The Corps Officer Leader, Capt. Kalani & Capt. Jennie Onitsuka-Adams are doing a fantastic job. They are very helpful and even the staff, especially Nargiz & Julie who is very dedicated to their work. It’s a friendly environment. They have a basketball court, & volleyball court. There is a playground in the back for the kids. Meal Service is on weekdays, Mondays through Fridays from 5:30pm til 6:30pm. Dine-in Meals is at 5:30p-6:00pm and their To Go Meals is at 6:00pm til 6:30pm. They really do need volunteers. They have help the the kids in the communities with their Kids Programs.Their Sundays Services starts at 10:45am and Felowship is afterwards.

A place where everyone is welcomed. A place of humility and class. A place where people work together to get the mission done. A place where kids build academically, learn life skills through the Grow program on Tuesday's and have fun playing sports in the gym. From feeding the community Monday through Friday to fellowship with one another at Church on Sunday's.

Been to this Salvation Army for various events. The location is well run and does very good work and IMHO is an asset to the community. The people I've worked with there are caring and great to work with. The facilities are in great condition and well cared for. Hope to have more interactions with this organization in the future.

I had a horrible experience because of the employee Mary. She was very inconsiderate and indirectly rude. I thought this was supposed to be a place of God where I would be treated with respect, but this employee or volunteer, Mary, made my experience very negative because of the obliviousness of her words had. Hopefully she learns how to properly communicate with people trying to help this organization instead of belittling them.

This is an organization has wonderful programs! Especially for youth including back to school, after school,a summer camp programs. This is a loving environment and programs are extremely affordable for all income levels. For adults they offer open gym, church service, and free meals m-f for anyone who needs a meal. This center is doing positive things in our community through the individuals they serve.

When I went there for Christmas gift last year, one of their staff took the picture without our permit . When they also help the students teke the video and photo and the students are feeling shy.

My daughter comes here to play volleyball on Fridays. Really nice facility. And it is only 6 bucks for each visit. And the director, Chris is super nice and friendly. He even provides great coaching advice to my daughter. Highly recommended!
